Personality

• Easily annoyed; Ren becomes quite intently focused on the task at hand, and if something or someone distracts him, he has a tendency to become very agitated and say unnecessarily sassy things. However, when Ren is not deep in concentration, he is very relaxed and almost nothing bothers him.

• Bad at making decisions. When presented with options, Ren tends to choose impulsively rather than taking time to think it out. Sometimes this works in his favor, but more often than not it just spells out unwise choices.

• Very excitable. Small events and happenings inevitably seem larger than they really are to Ren, and he puts his heart and soul into every festival that comes along, organizing parties to decorate and plan celebrations. Gifts thrill Ren, no matter how small or insignificant, and he often writes sentimental letters in thanks for trinkets or other baubles.

History

Being one of the co-founders of Simbelmynë's observatory, Ren helped in bringing the idea to life, from choosing its location to assisting in the design and building of it. He himself constructed a small dome on top of a huge tree. This dome has a large hole in the center of the roof to let the moon shine in on clear nights, and it is a lovely spot for stargazing. Ren can often be found perched on the roof of his dome, gazing up at the celestial landscape through the lens of his telescope.
Ren originally dreamed of starting a family with a beautiful dragoness in his original clan, but she left without warning the day after she laid their very first nest. Ren never made any efforts to find her, feeling discouraged and disappointed that he had been unable to make her happy. He looked after the nest and raised his children with the help of his clanmates. After they were old enough to take care of themselves, he left his old clan - searching for a new start.
He now devotes all of his time to studying planets and constellations from his observatory in Simbelmynë - together with Sion.

Trivia

• Constellations appearing in the spring night sky are his favorite.

• He has a phobia of drowning due to an incident in his childhood. One day, he was chasing after crickets, and he didn't notice the drop until it was too late. He tumbled over the edge of the high embankment, splashing into the deep water surrounding the Focal Point before he could spread his wings to save himself. Fortunately, his mother had heard his mewls of terror and rescued him within the space of a few minutes.
