Biography

Date of passing: November 11th, 2018. Sunday.

This is Pele, he was my pet betta fish. He was a halfmoon crowntail, survived jumping out of his tank, survived a fish sickness called Ick, survived having some of his fins torn off and even grew them back after we realized that the fake plant in his tank was tearing his fins. I bought him the same time I bought Shark, and both were territorial to eachother until they stopped flaring at eachother and got used to eachother's presence (they were in seperate tanks of course).

He lived to the ripe old age of 4 years old and died a peaceful death of old age. He adopted a younger betta fish I had named Mituna (They were in separate tanks), which I assume is what happened because though Mituna acted aggressively to him, it wasn't very much, and Pele never flared back at him, and instead swam towards his side of the tank to check on him, since Mituna had some issues with his swim bladder, which caused him to float at the top of the tank sometimes.

Since Pele and Mituna lived on the kitchen table, under a computer, and with a full view of the kitchen, they happened to see all the cooking and listen to some of the music shows my mother watched. The loved swimming around when the singers sang, and were curious when they watched us eat our food.

Despite the fact that Pele was a fish, he had emotions, and interacted with other humans when they played with him. I will dearly miss him, and truly hope that he is having the time of his afterlife in the great big fish-paradise up in the heavens.
