Raised by a clan of outcast warrior skydancers, Safkhet discovered the world of books on her initiation raid. She immediately became obsessed, abandoning her intended role. Though her clanmates were unwelcoming of this development, Safkhet persisted. Reading and learning opened up entire worlds, ones that the other warriors could not hope to understand.

But as her knowledge increased, so did her desire to learn. As her supply of books dwindled, Safkhet became increasingly restless. Her clan was stifling her, an effort to recall her warrior birthright. She fled, seeking freedom to learn.
