Tr'laeg
tra-lag
"Put a quote, lyric, or other short bit of writing here. Don't make it too long."

The Pillar of the World is the last place one expects to find any trace of the Shade; though the shield it once powered had long since shattered, its remains still held the power to repel the primordial darkness. For these reasons Tr'laeg chose to journey there from her birthplace in the Viridian Labyrinth. She is one of the Shade-blessed, those few dragons touched by the Shade but not controlled by it. In fact they can channel the power of the Shade for their own uses. But few see anything other than the danger of the Shade no matter how good the intentions. Tr'laeg gives thanks to the Earthshaker each day that he led her to Huagua and Kenii'er, some of that few who so easily welcomed her into their clan.

Tr'laeg is a dragon mature beyond her years who purposefully maintains an air of mystery. She has shared little of her past with anyone besides her mate Huagua. Born somewhere in the Viridian Labyrinth and touched by the Shade as a child, she was raised by the harshness of the Gladekeeper's domain. She is a powerful witch and no one is sure if she is a dragon, a nature spirit, an undead, or something else entirely. She was brought to the clan after being found by Huagua and welcomed by the leaders. Many, however, remained suspicious of her, until she put her own life at risk to draw the power necessary to resurrect the slain Teal. To the surprise of the clan, it was the normally arrogant Sze'ran who came forward first to apologize for his suspicions, and organized her care while she recovered.

The clan was rather surprised when she returned from a foraging trip one afternoon with a strange dragon in tow, pronouncing him her new apprentice Ares.
