I am a found dragon.
Starlight discovered me, still damp from my egg, in an empty and blood stained lair. A rival clan, rampaging beastclans, or just more animals than my family could cope with. No one knows.
Other clans talk about lineage, heritage and look at me with either pity, contempt or a mix of both.
Fools.
Stormcliff is my family. Starlight and Riversong raised me as their daughter. I learned to tend the gardens. I learned to fight, both in the coliseum and on patrol. Tamlin calls me a true daughter of the Stormcatcher and of Stormcliff.
I see how other clans treat foundlings, see them in the marketplace. Waiting to be sold because they are plain and ungened. I shake my head at those clans, they have no sense of what is true worth. Of what those dragons may become.
I know. I know what I have become and what I may yet be. I know that I am wanted, and loved, and cherished.
