Hazel is a potion maker by trade and a natural born leader. She spends a lot of time teaching Elderyth everything she has discovered in her many years of studying alchemy. Praying is a very big part of her life as well; Hazel has dedicated her life to the Gladekeeper and the swamp that she calls home.

Having a high status in The Territory didn't come easy. Hazel started following Shalom a few years before the overthrow. Once in power, Shalom gave Hazel the chance to command her own subclan, but it would come at a price. Due to her own disability, Shalom required Hazel to blind herself. She had been following Shalom for so long that she did it without much thought. She now sits as a member of The Elite and is steadily growing her clan numbers.

The Gladekeeper is the center of Hazel's life, everything she does is with the Gladekeeper in mind. Growing up she didn't have much structure or tradition so when she was of age she set out in search of meaning. She soon found Shalom, the swamp, and her devotion to the Gladekeeper. Her life is very structured now, centered around prayer and doing things that will bring life to Sornieth. Right now, her focus is on potions that will help plants and animals flourish and allow life to sustain where it may no longer be able to.
