Helianthus isn't a fan of labels. They refuse to attach one to their identity. They say it's because it makes them feel free. They don't want to be attached to anything. So their gender and sexuality are open to interpretation by anyone. Some call them a 'she' others a 'he'. Helianthus refers to themself as a 'they' but don't mind other pronouns.
To an outsider it would appear that they are dating the faun, Petrichor but Helianthus doesn't want to put a label on their relationship. They do like to flirt and kiss Petrichor and seem closer to him than to anyone else though.
Helianthus is a dryad that can turn into a sunflower. They can stay as a sunflower for days at a time. They say it makes them feel closer to the dryad gods. The war of the dragons and beastclans are no concern to them. Dryads have always been careful to avoid war.
