BIOGRAPHY

Rohan is unnerving. His eyes are rimmed with dark circles from countless sleepless nights, and he wears a constant creepy smirk on his tired-looking face. His gaze is just a bit too piercing, causing even the bravest of dragons to shudder when they catch his gaze from across a room, and his mannerisms are just slightly off, enough to set off a twinge of unease in any who watch him move. He's rarely one to start a conversation, which is quite pleasing for most members of the clan.
He silently tends the plants and gardens around the lair, sometimes venturing out into the daylight to trim the bushes and harvest troublesome weeds, but for the most part he stays within the safety of closed doors. When he's in the sun he moves more quickly, his skin less sunken and his eyes more bright, but he seems to be unable to stand the sensation of it on his scales. The hatchlings stay far away from him, and though he crosses paths with Moth quite often as she also works on the gardens, even she seems to prefer to stay a good distance from him. She doesn't fear him like the rest, but it's isolating all the same.
He doesn't particularly care or even think about the rest of the denizens of the clan - all except for one. Larkin, his friend and lover, who is fighting a losing battle against an incredibly rare strain of parasitic plant that takes over living hosts. Rohan has devoted his life to studying plants in the hopes that one day he'll find something to save his mate. He stays up every night, experimenting and researching, and each morning he wakes to see his mate more and more sick, his eyes glazed and his scales flaking off like petals. He now wears a wolf cape to cover his head, embarrassed at the way he looks and afraid to show his face to the other dragons.
He feels like he's close to a breakthrough - he just hopes that they can both hold on until then. Rohan isn't a kind dragon, but his love for Larkin is something that even he has a hard time explaining. He's an ice dragon at heart, but he still can't help but feel a spark ignite when he thinks about his mate. They both know that no matter what happens, not even death could stand in the way of what they have together.
