Ever since Recluse was born he preferred solitude. Even as a hatchling he rarely played with other children, instead he wandered around the woods and collected different kind of sticks and stones. To this day that hasn't changed, and even more than ever Recluse likes being alone. It's rare to see him among the clan, but when he visits he often stays for a short time with Ikaruna, his mother, and takes off again. Being alone might sound terrifying to some, but to Recluse it's his way of living. It's as natural as breathing to him. It calms him, to travel from place to place and to see so many different things. Even if he could, he wouldn't change that. Nothing is as important to him as being by himself and just living in harmony with the nature.

When it comes to loving nature, he definitely takes after his mother. From her Recluse has learned many things, and thanks to her he has been able to live in the way he wants. He knows every little thing nature can do, and still learns more and more everyday. Nature never ceases to amaze him, and he will gladly take everything he's offered. He also has a wide knowledge in animals, and sometimes he's able to approach some of them very close.

Even though he is, well, a recluse by his nature, and personal space is very important to him (that's the reason he's not very fond of Wendigo, who easily forgets about personal space) by some miraculous happening him and Toxic have become really close friends. Even if Toxic is forgetful and oblivious and sometimes little slow, he doesn't bother Recluse. Maybe it's because he's free to go as he chooses, and sometimes Toxic might even follow him to the border of the clan's territory. They often spend evenings together around a campfire when Recluse rejoins the clan, and spend their time in a comfortable silence, or occasionally Recluse telling him stories about his travels, or Toxic talking about what's happening with the clan.

Recluse does prefer his solitude, but he also cares immensely about his clanmates nevertheless. Because he has troubles with social interaction, he isn't sure how to express his care, and the methods other dragons show (chatting, sparring, hunting together, giving gifts etc.) don't appeal to him.
So he collects rocks. Lots and lots of rocks. Big rocks, small rocks, smooth and rough, of all shapes and sizes. Each one represents one of his clanmates, and he knows them by name. He keeps them hidden away in his own personal sanctuary in the wilderness. Just sitting there with those rocks is more comforting than sitting with his actual clanmates, but it makes him feel oddly closer to them nevertheless.
