______ You wouldn't think, in a clan this small and close knit, that there wouldn't be a "royal" family; but there is, and DieForelle is the crown prince of it, being the first born. His parents aren't even originally from Arcane, but for some reason (stars, mostly) it's been decided that he and his siblings and their children and grandchildren, are the purest Arcane line we have. Or maybe they're more like celebrities, I don't know, they're not involved in clan politics... the thing is, it's not that everyone looks up to them like you would royalty or celebrities, it's just that... everyone likes them. They are all beautiful and kind and friendly and just genuinely nice, and as a result (that and the stars), they're probably the most popular family around. ______ The other thing that stands out about them, is that they never leave. Most dragons have lots of children that end up going all over the place, with only a few, or sometimes even none, staying here. Not so with the Stjärna Vordade ("star revered"). They only have a few children, and they all stay. They don't go to the Arcanist, they don't go to serve any other deities, they don't even leave to join other clans. They stay right here, to grow their beautiful and perfect family. ______ I don't mean to sound bitter, now. I just... don't get it, is all. The selection seems to me completely random. Then again, that is how Arcane works. I'm from Light. In Light, the sun shines on everyone, and especially the priests and the royal families, who are actually royal and have been royal for generations. Here the stars may choose whoever they like out of any generation they like, and I guess I'm just not used to that yet.
