G A R D E N I A
Progen | Leader and Guardian of the clan

Born as a nature dragon with an earthy and dry looking skin, she wanted to make it bloom - and blooming it does. In the clan she founded, letting plants grow on your very self is the biggest honor you can bestow upon the Gladekeeper, and Gardenia leads as the prime example.

In the soothing little spot in the Gladeveins that the clan calls its home, anyone can find refugee and will have a capable protector. To Gardenia, the whole clan is her protégée.

liber [lahy-ber], noun.
1. botany, the part of a vascular bundle consisting of sieve tubes, companion cells, parenchyma, and fibers and forming the food-conducting tissue of a plant
2. god of viticulture and wine, fertility and freedom

-phora [fer-uh], suffix.
1. bearer, to bear, carrying; producing, transmission; directing, turning;
originally to carry or to bear children

Settled in a mangrove forest in the shallow waters of the Gladeveins, near the outer rims of the Shrieking Wilds, Gardenia created a peaceful refuge for those that lost or left their former homes and want to build and protect something together.

The clan believes in living in absolute harmony with nature and the cycle of life and death. Inspired by their leader Gardenia and the Gladekeeper, many dragons of the clan allow flora and fauna to grow and live on their very own selves. The bodies of the dead don't get buried, but are left for nature to reclaim.

The lodgings are built with readily available organic materials into and around the trees. Houses made from straw and wood are nestled inbetween the trees' branches, with bridges and pathways connecting the various stories and platforms.

Wild and tamed animals can be found living everywhere between the draconic structure, as are beastclan members that made friends with the clan. Some endangeres plants and critters are kept and fostered in small shelters and farms.

At the outskirts of the clan's settlement lies a small but flourishing graveyard, often mistaken for a garden, but not without reason. The dead aren't buried, but their remains lie on ground, giving nutrition and shelter to plants and animals. Peaceful neighbouring clans, both dragon and beast, are allowed to choose this sanctury as their final resting place or to commemorate their fallen.
