Biography
He calls himself a magician. Card tricks, vanishing acts, sleight-of-hand galore. The natural talent of being a Spiral has its advantages in Epsilon's line of work. His movements ever so graceful; his body almost hypnotic— twisting and turning, coiling and uncoiling. His large, bright green eyes catching all attention as he prepares his next trick.
No one can figure out how his acts work. They inspect and scrutinize every card, every move, every twitch. The truth is expertly hidden from view, while at the same time right under everyone's noses in plain sight.
It's in his smile. At first it seems confident and full of excitement, and for the first few minutes it is. As soon as the act begins though, it becomes unsettling. Only those who aren't distracted by his mesmerizing movements take notice. "There's just something off," they say, "I just don't trust him."
Epsilon is no ordinary magician. He's not in it for the wonder and pride; he lives for the confusion of others, the sideways looks and uncertainty in expressions. He doesn't want to be trusted, and he's willing to play dirty.
Ever since he was cast out from his home lair as a young dragon, Epsilon took an interest in magic. He'd heard of these dragons who had harnessed the darkness, who were practically invisible when they wanted to be unseen. Their eyes a deep purple, swirling with the energy of nothingness. He figured he would fit right in, especially with his colors and aspirations. However, Epsilon was a Wind dragon. His bright green eyes stuck out, his inherent magic even more so. Over time he began to absorb the surrounding energy that was deeply embedded in the Shadow region. The Wind inside him never faded, but instead mixed with the Shadow.
He knew how to make things invisible to all eyes except his own. He could make things vanish with the blink of an eye, shrouded in darkness. Even pure Shadow dragons were fooled by his tricks. Wind dragons could detect that the item was still there, but their eyes were unable to pinpoint it.
Epsilon had begun to create a name for himself, and eventually, after travelling from region to region with his talents, had settled in the Ashfall Waste. His lairmates have learned to avoid him for certain things, and begrudgingly seek him out for needed information and odd jobs that he would take absolute joy in doing. At least a few of the other dragons find at least some degree of enjoyment in his personality and quirks.
