The storm has gotten worse. Where you could once see looming pines and the path cutting between them, you can now only see blinding white. The wind, once a feeble whimper, now screams ceaselessly in agony. Your body has become increasingly numb, and you know that if you don't find shelter soon, you will perish here. You take another agonizing step, and immediately, as if sensing the meager progress you are making, a fierce gust of wind blows you back. You stumble in the snow, which is now nearly up to your knees, and you fall. It seems like this is the end.

Just as you are willing to submit to the growing chill, a shadow looms in the white veil ahead of you. A pair of thickly-furred paws pluck you from the ground, and gently usher you into a cave you didn't know you were standing next to. It takes a moment to adjust to the sudden darkness, and you shiver violently as sensation returns to your body. Breathlessly, you turn to thank your rescuer, but the words die on your lips. In front of you stands a burly, white Tundra, who smiles tightly in a way that says your gratitude doesn't need to be vocalized.

"You're free to stay until the storm blows over," he says, stepping past you. "Or longer, if you wish. Welcome to the humble abode of the Cloudtoucher Clan."
