[Lore really needs redoing]
On the coastline not too far from the Twisting Crescendo, there is a terrain rougher than the surrounding meadows. At the center stands the Ventus Spire. A dark and mysterious building unlike any other structure in the Windswept Plateau, a relic of an unknown society.
The strangeness of the building gives many dragons, beastclans and other creatures an uneasy feeling, causing them to stay away.
Aditionally, the Spire seems to radiate some kind of power. Many dragons who seek the Spire end up never finding it, even while knowing its location. Others are taken from their course to the Cloudsong to see the Spire becoming their destination.
This mysterious power causes the otherwise carefree Wind dragons to distrust and avoid the Ventus Spire, and all dragons that come from it.
For there is indeed a clan that has made the Spire its home.
Most of these dragons have felt a calling, and without really knowing why, they answered it. Now, the clan has made a true home of the formerly empty and desolate tower chambers.
The group is a mostly friendly bunch, trying their best to stay a part of the Windswept Plateau's society. Though avoided by most clans, they managed to establish a few trade relationships and alliances. The first of these was the alliance with The Northern Winds. They were the first group to ignore the clan's negative reputation, and together they coordinated their efforts for Wind's dominance.
These days the clan of the Ventus Spire stands more or less on its own, but will mostly still answer the call from the Cloudsong when all hands are required for a dominance battle.
Not an actual part of the clan, but still living in the Spire, is a bunch of dragons calling themselves Burnt Rubbery. The fierce winds in the region have made it the ideal place to perfect their speeding abilities. The sky is filled with these acrobatic speedmaniacs, gliding, diving, and hopping between air currents, striving to be the fastest and most daring. The dragons of the Ventus Spire aren't really bothered by these almost frantic neighbours. Watching them makes for a great pastime.
