SHOP OPEN HERE!

Hi everyone! I am brand new to the game and the community, but I'm loving it so far! I love to do artwork for the sites I'm really invested in. When I first heard about this game, it reminded me of good old "Dragon Cave" for those who have played that! I love pixel art, and love to do sprite work. The adoptable shop I would like to make would be with large, detailed pixel sprites. One for male, one for female, and they compliment each other. I would be able to do skins, accessories, custom looks, and even animations. Here's the work I've done so far!

Imperial Female and Male

I realize they are too big for signatures, but I really wanted to capture as much detail as possible, and have wings and such proportional to their bodies. I could definitely crop them for a signature size, or anything you'd like!

Now being new, and not knowing what you all would like to see or want to buy, I'd love some help! How much are they worth, what would you like to see, or what options would you like to have?

XD Anywho, to answer your question. Pricing for adoptables can be a little... weird o_O;
In my opinion, which is not fact or the way it has to be, I would charge NO LESS than 25k for a base. That means 25k for Basic genes and Underbelly. No clothes, no skins.

Adding other genes could be an extra 2-5k depending on how difficult they are for you to do and skins/accents would be good to have at NO LESS than 10k extra.

Apparel looks like it would be up in the air. Perhaps do what a few people are doing and have them sponsored items? You could charge 10-30k for apparel, but once it is drawn once on one species, then it is unlocked for free (or just a lower price) after that.

If you go the animated route, I will roll around screaming blissfully, because I will need one in my life for sure xD
Animated stuff though should be quite a bit more, as I know its a lot of extra work. However, I have no idea what would be a good 'lowest' price for such a thing D:

Again, just my opinion! I think you could make a real killing with these, as they are simply stunning! Please, what ever you do, do not undersell yourself!

This is my first time making adoptables, so I'm not entirely sure what I'm in for in terms of complexity and keeping all of my assets together. A friend mentioned sponsoring items and I'd definitely be up for working that out.

This are so detailed that an advanced animation would be hard. I'm considering smaller, simplified sprites that are easier to animate, but that would maybe be redoing too much! XD What kind of animation would you like to see? Is an idle enough, or would you really love something more involved?

Yeah, animation looks like it would be pretty tough for these cuties.
If you were to try animating them, I would suggest keeping it super simple. Like... perhaps only tail swishing/flicking, eye blinking and maybe even mouth opening/closing. Just idle stuff, otherwise the true beauty would be lost.

If you went ahead and made other ones MADE for animating, it could be as simple as a walk or dance! People love those. Bouncing and lunging for a big roar would also be pretty cool, but again, it would be best not to use on the current stock you have here unless you wanted to rip out all your hair trying to get it to work right xD

Yeah, so true... These might be too painful for animation, but I'll definitely think about ones meant for animating. I think I'll take commissions separate from adoptables, and then people can ask for specific animations or looks for the sprite? What do you think? Then I could reuse that base if someone else was interested? XD Maybe...

All right, yeah for sure! I will definitely mention that if that's the route I take. I will always respect a commissioner's request if they want it to be unique. So maybe you can sponsor an animation, or request it to be unique? How does it work for sponsoring, does the original sponsor have a different price, or some kind of benefit?
