It is this evening, as you wander the market, you find that question floating to the forefront of your mind. Its all you find yourself able to think about, and you get so lost in thought you hardly realize where your feet are taking you until you stop in front of a small, yet ornate, tent. A velvet curtain embroidered with gold is slightly parted, showing you the dim interior lit by soft pink and yellow lights. Curious about this strange stall that you never remembered seeing before, you peer at the carved wooden sign propped by the entrance. 'Tarot Readings' is carved and painted in a rich purple accented by gold, a large ornate arrow pointing at the tent's entrance underneath. You're a little hesitant at first, unsure what would be in store for you if you entered the tent, but that question is burning at the forefront of your mind now, demanding answers. And maybe this place hand answers, or, at the very least, a balm that would soothe the emotions boiling within and provide a bit of clarity. Without realizing it, you've started to step into the tent, pulling aside the velvety curtain and stepping into the dimly lit, incensed room.
What is Tarot, and how does it work? Tarot is a practice of divining wisdom and guidance through a specific layout of cards (AKA a spread). The cards drawn in response to your question are meant to provide clarity, guidance or wisdom to your question. Rosequartz's power allows him to sense precious metals, gemstones and crystals within a certain range. He can call upon them to come to his aid. Smaller stones can be used for a kind of bullet-like ammunition, while larger stones can act as a shield or wall. However a lot of energy is needed to pull larger stones to him, so unless precious stones are in abundance nearby, forming walls can take a lot of time and energy. When his power first manifested, stones would pop up unwillingly around his feet, drawn to his power. He had little control over his power, and it sometimes caused him a lot of trouble, especially with women who would accuse him of stealing their jewelry. He became wary of making friends who would only use him to make them money. He's learned to better control his power now, but in times of high emotional or physical stress he may lose control of his power. Personality: Rosequartz is wary of others, and it can take some time to get through to him and earn his trust. Once he trusts you though, he's very loyal and friendly. He'd do anything for his friends. But if you betray his trust, you've made yourself a scary enemy. He can be quite vicious in battle, sometimes not knowing when to stop if he's been angered enough. Once you betray him he'll never trust you again, unless you can somehow convince him otherwise. But even then it's very difficult to sway his opinion of you. He's rather stubborn and judgmental, and sometimes quick to jump to conclusions if he doesn't like you. History: Rosequartz was born into a rather well-to-do family, part of a high ranking and well-respected lair. As part of the arcane flight he was educated in many kinds of magic and other scholarly pursuits. However, his childhood was cut short as one day he was trapped in an old mine by some territorial Scalebacks. He'd been down there because he'd heard rumors of a powerful magic rune hidden in it's depths, but instead he'd run into these vicious creatures. He panicked as one jumped to attack him, but he was never harmed as a bubble-like enclosure of crystal surrounded him, protecting him. He was found by his parents later, and they chased off the Scalebacks. They first looked baffled by Rosequartz's protective shield, then they looked very angry. They forbade him to go around the mines again, but were dismayed to find that their son had procured this strange power from somewhere. Rosequartz himself tried his best to suppress the power, but that only seemed to make it worse. Wherever he went small precious stones would pop up at his feet, or float around his body. His parents tried to hide it, but one day Rosequartz's power attracted a valuable piece of jewelry from a wealthy and important visitor. The necklace flew off of the guest's neck and was later found following Rosequartz around. He was accused of theft and was banished from his home. Just on the threshold of young adulthood, Rosequartz was deeply hurt and afraid of this new world. He was also extremely angry with himself for being unable to control his power. With nowhere to go, he roamed various territories, for a few years learning to control his power. One day, while he was exploring the Southern Icefield, he collapsed from the cold. He was found by a passing Ice dragon and brought to their lair. There Rosequartz found something akin to a home, though he still kept his distance from others. However as he spent more years there, he became more accepted as family by the Ice dragons.

Hello! Could I order four short (100-ish words) personality blurbs for some dragons? They're a quartet of brothers from my progens and I'm halfway trying to find homes for them, so I doodled some headshots and wouldn't mind getting them some personalities as well!

I don't have anything concrete in mind for any of them, but you might be able to glean some inspiration for them off the headshots in their bios? ;O

Here's the boys in question: xXx xXx xXx xXx

@korozo Sure! I could write them a brief little introduction! (sorry for the belated reply, busy weekend) What kind of style of writing were you interested in? just a general third person sort of introduction? or did you want something 'in character'?

@Opalwhisker
General third-person would work fine! :D
Nothing overly complex, just some simple personalities.

Andreas, eldest of his clutch, takes his role as ‘older brother’ very seriously. Perhaps too seriously for his sibling’s taste. A natural born leader and caretaker, he can sometimes be a little bossy. He often tries to boss his brothers around, telling them how to do things, but his pushiness is really just misplaced affection. He only wishes to guide his siblings in a good direction, but doesn’t quite know how to do so other than just telling them what to do. His nurturing instinct is quite strong, making him excellent around hatchlings, watching over them and guiding them in their early days is something Andreas finds a lot of satisfaction in.

The youngest of the four brothers, Artemi is the free spirit. He dreams of one day seeing the world for himself, leaving behind his nagging family and experiencing everything. Perpetually wandering and sneaking away from the clan at night to explore beyond their territory, his free spirit causes the clan to worry that he may accidentally drag them into a territory dispute one day. He most frequently butts heads with Andreas, who is always the one to drag him back to the lair and chastise him. A dreamer and wandering spirit, Artemi one day hopes to travel the world and make the most detailed map of it Sornieth has ever seen.

The second eldest, Tony, is the most lax of the four brothers. Laidback almost to a fault, Tony finds the most enjoyment staying at home in the comfort of his own part of the lair. Andreas often pesters him to get out more, but the relaxed Tundra just doesn’t see much point to exerting all that energy. He’d much rather stay and home and work on his art. Thadogen is the most aggressive of the four. It was clear from an early age that Thadogen was meant for the battlefield. An extremely talented fighter, Thadogen easily mastered the combat moves taught to him. However, his aggressive, combative nature makes him difficult to get along with. Hot tempered to a fault, Thadogen starts fights whenever he finds an opportunity.
