Though not many may know of a dragon's true account, every dragon has his or her own narrative to tell. Born of a fallen star, the dragons of the Clan of Shining Stars wish to make known each dragon's backstory, to let the true voices of every dragon shine through and express who they really are. ~~~ Hey there! I'm Tirtouga678! You can call me Crystal, or Tirtouga (or Pikachu - my fav Pokémon, yay!), whichever you want :) I'm a loyal Arcanite and I love dragons too! So the reason you're seeing this post is because I've decided to start this lore writing corner, Starfall Stories. Please read through this whole post carefully before posting your requests. PLEASE DON'T PING ME, I'M ALREADY SUBSCRIBED GUYS How do I request for a piece of lore? What to include: Name of dragon, picture + link (if possible), information about dragon (what you want me to write about), whether you'd like me to post the finished story here or PM it to you, type of payment (see below for more details). Basically how this lore writing thing works is that you give me the dragon's info - name, picture, element, familiar, family, blah. The more information you give me, the better I can write! For example, you can tell me that this particular dragon was once an assassin, but found solace in your clan, or that a disabled dragon came to your clan and found help, etc. That would really help! Apart from Flight Rising dragons, I am also comfortable with writing for OCs, Pokémon and most other things. But no serious gore/NSFW stuff/anything against FR's Terms and Conditions. If I'm not okay with writing for your character, I will let you know after reading through the info provided, and hopefully you can choose another character for me to write about? [s]I mean, this is a business after all :P[/s] When you want to make a request, just comment below! Try to give as much details as possible so I can make a better piece of writing for you :D What payment do you accept and how much is one piece of lore usually? My general gem to treasure ratio is 1 gem: 850 treasure, with 1kt for every 100 words written. Pricing depends on the length of the story, so I can't give you an definite answer on how much it'll cost. Usually I write more than 500 words, so that'd be 5-6.5kt, depending on how well I write. I try to keep my pricing fair and cheap so everyone can afford it, but if you don't agree with the pricing, feel free to tell me and we'll work something out! You can pay by: Treasure and/or Gems Apparel Familiars Accents Treasure Chests (preferably Iron or Gilded) See my wishlist for the full list, excluding Gems. (keep that in mind too, please!) Examples, anyone? You can check out the lore that I wrote for my dragons, starting from Starfall onwards. More lore will be added soon! Or you could just see the stories already posted here. This is a hatchery run by me, ShinyDecidueye, SuperDragon84 and pentakewl, where new pairs will gradually be added as we go along. (it's not up yet, but it will be eventually >.<) The Land Before Time Hatchery, run by Starwindrider and Littlepotato711 is also a really good hatchery run by two of my irl friends! There's also Blazefire Library, another lore shop by Starwindrider, and PWYW Coatl Bust Art Shop by ShinyDecidueye! So the reason you're seeing this post is because I've decided to start this lore writing corner, Starfall Stories. Please read through this whole post carefully before posting your requests.

PLEASE DON'T PING ME, I'M ALREADY SUBSCRIBED GUYS

How do I request for a piece of lore?

What to include: Name of dragon, picture + link (if possible), information about dragon (what you want me to write about), whether you'd like me to post the finished story here or PM it to you, type of payment (see below for more details).

Basically how this lore writing thing works is that you give me the dragon's info - name, picture, element, familiar, family, blah. The more information you give me, the better I can write! For example, you can tell me that this particular dragon was once an assassin, but found solace in your clan, or that a disabled dragon came to your clan and found help, etc. That would really help!

What payment do you accept and how much is one piece of lore usually?

My general gem to treasure ratio is 1 gem: 850 treasure, with 1kt for every 100 words written. You can pay by:
Treasure and/or Gems
Apparel
Familiars

Treasure Chests (preferably Iron or Gilded)
See my wishlist for the full list, excluding Gems. (keep that in mind too, please!)

Examples, anyone?

You can check out the lore that I wrote for my dragons, starting from Starfall onwards. More lore will be added soon!

Or you could just see the stories already posted here.

Oops, I forgot to mention this!

Also, check out The Rising Star Hatchery here! This is a hatchery run by me, ShinyDecidueye, SuperDragon84 and pentakewl, where new pairs will gradually be added as we go along. (it's not up yet, but it will be eventually >.<)

@Tirtouga678 Hi! I enjoy your writing style and would really enjoy a piece for my dragon, Sinclair: He's the tyrannical leader of my clan, the Petrified Winds, who overthrew the clan founder after he was banished from his own kingdom. He has some pre-established lore in his bio, but I would love a more descriptive piece that focuses on his childhood/life before being banished from his home. Sinclair grew up in the land of the Lightweaver to a royal family. He had two other siblings, and each were to be groomed to eventually take over the throne. Of course, only one could rule at a time, so their was competition among them. Sinclair desired the throne most of all and was very fond of art and literature. He spent more time developing his mind over body or making personal connections with subjects (which would be his fatal flaw). I'd like a piece that gives the reader some insight to his personality and character. Of course, you have full creative freedom to write how you think he would act based on the information provided, in a scenario of your choice. I hope this is enough to work with! :)

@Tirtouga678 Hahah it's fine (I actually might adopt that as an alternative username in the future)! And I really have no preference, whatever you feel fits the narrative best :)

"Mind over matter", was his favourite quote. The shimmering grey dragon strode purposefully through the illuminated halls of the palace, sparks of bright colour dancing across his scales with every step. Eyes fixed on a particular door, the Imperial brushed aside all the other dragons, ignoring their presence entirely. At last, he reached the majestic mahogany panel, and swung it wide open on its hinges as he stalked to the bookshelves.

"Master Sinclair, what would you like to read?" A tiny Fae bowed reverently, gesturing to all the shelves, each loaded with thousands upon thousands of books. "We have a new book about philosophy and literature, if you'd like to read it," he added.

"Bring it to me," Sinclair demanded. "Now." The Fae nodded, skittering across the gigantic library and vanishing behind a bookshelf. Soon, the minuscule dragon returned, using his magic to carry a huge book that seemed nearly twice the size of him. Gently setting the book down before the imposing wyrm, the Fae bowed once more before hurriedly leaving the library.

“At last,” Sinclair hissed in delight. “Finally, a new book from my favourite author.” He was about to flip open the heavily decorated cover of the book when another dragon burst through the huge wooden doors of the library. Snapping his head up in annoyance, he snarled in anger at the newcomer for disturbing his reading, a Spiral with golden-yellow scales and pale green eyes. He didn’t recognise the messenger, and didn’t know what the noodle-like dragon was here for, so he kept his guard up. “What are you here for, pathetic yellow noodle?”

The Spiral nervously ruffled his six wings, body coiling itself into agitated knots. “U… uh… Master Sinclair, I was sent by your father to inform you that he is going to choose his successor now, and would like you at the throne room now.”

“Choosing the successor? Now? I shall be on my way, then.” Sinclair stood to leave, spreading out his great leather wings and swooping out the window. Then a thought struck him and he adjusted his position to intimidate the other dragon. “You had better keep this book for me, or else.” The terrified Spiral could do nothing but nod, salute and squeak something in a soft and high-pitched voice.

“Yes, sir!” was the last thing Sinclair heard as he soared to the royal palace.
