I have a friend who's trying to find someone to draw the main character of her novel but she's having a very hard time because no one seems to know how to actually draw a fat person. It's become very frustrating for her as she's paid several artists and not gotten the results she wanted.
The character is a very tall, fat latina woman. I'm trying to find her someone who will draw her character the way she's described in the book. She's been very good at giving reference descriptions and such. But she needs someone comfortable drawing fat people without reducing them to some bizarre photoshop-stretched, fake-goiter-wearing parody of a person. (I'm not exaggerating.)
If you could post your prices and art - especially any art you may have of larger characters - she would be very happy to take a look at your art and consider it.
This book also has a dragon as a main character, so if you can draw Chinese styled dragons that may also be something she's looking for. But she's very desperate for someone to draw the human character.
She's paying in USD of course, but she has an old FR account she doesn't use anymore and I'm sure she'd be willing to deal in FR stuff if you can't accept USD for some reason.
Edit: She would prefer someone who has examples already of how they draw fat women specifically. She's been a bit burnt on this and doesn't want to go through another process of finding out the artist isn't meeting her needs. So it's easier for her to do it this way at this point.

i have my art shop open, the link is in my sig! the price list can be found there alongside a good bunch of examples. for starters, i haven't really drawn overweight characters, but this would be a nice challenge. especially when it's something that i'm interested in learning to draw, and i've tried my best in the past to work as best i've could by the descriptions i've given. so i've gotten pretty used to make art based on written descs.
i also love drawing dragons, especially asian/chinese styled ones! :3
