For USD the ratio will be $15:1000g. Why is the USD option more? To make it a little more worth my time. The perk of USD commissions is that you'll be moved to the top of the slot list, even if you were the last to apply.[/i] [b]Sketched bust[/b] - 500g [b]Painted bust[/b] - 1000g [b]Icons (painted option only)[/b] - 800g The price will increase with complexity of the character. For example, a dragon with a skin or lots of apparel will be bumped to 1.2kg versus the 1kg for a naked dragon. Characters with complex designs will also follow this rule. I have different ways of lining and coloring art, so please let me know if you prefer a [b]smooth style[/b] of lineart/color or the [b]painted style[/b] of lineart/color, or if you're okay with me taking artistic liberty! Neither style of coloring affects pricing as they both have challenges and eases. Since I am a full time student and have a job, I can churn one out either within hours or up to several days. [b]Payment method[/b]: Because my attention tends to bounce around a lot, the way I'll take payment will be like this. You'll send a CR with the full payment once you've taken your slot(s), and I'll accept it once I've finished your piece. The art will be sent to you via PM and/or posted here as a .png after. ^^ This is so I'll stay motivated to complete your work quickly and keep easier track of when I'm getting paid. Hello! @dav1d while your art is quite nice, 1kg is way too much for a shaded headshot. You said you’re new to this so I’m giving you some advice with pricing. Maybe start if lower (I started at 80kt/g) and rise as you get more customers.

I usually go around telling people something is too expensive to help them because I feel like no one else does ;-;

For your headshot, I wouldn’t pay more than 300g.

Just trying to help ^^ [/quote] So I decided to lower them, but I feel like undercutting myself any more is really gonna make it not worth the effort and time, as I feel like too many artists don't charge the actual value of their work on the internet. ^^; Thank you for the help!

I'm happy to do both for you! (I love that hybrid human!) I'll create slots so I can ping you again once they're finished (I'll try to work on them through the week and have them done for you!).

Also, would you like the gradient/smooth coloring or the painted/rough look?

I'll accept half payment for them up front and you won't have to pay the rest till I get the finished products to you. ^^ I look forward to working one these, they look like really fun characters!

@uriah I mean I was only trying to help... It's not undercutting at all. 1kg is really expensive... A lot of people sell art like @dav1d 's and are at lower prices too.

It really isn't undercutting. I've seen a lot, and probably more than you, coming from an artist (I have experience). They can do what they want, it's just my suggestion because getting 4 commissioners at 300 is better than 1 at 1kg.

Also, I mentioned that they could increase the prices as they get more commissions, because I was considering that they wanted to earn more. It's called a compromise.

Is trying to help someone really that rude? I was nice about it and complimented too. Plus, they never had any problems, and I personally think it's rude to say that when I was trying to help and was nice about it, so I'm not sure what you have against it. I'm appalled that your first forum post is criticizing what someone suggested.

And adding "sorry" doesn't do anything, but I'm "sorry," but I'm sure I have more experience than you and it really pisses me off how you say it's undercutting.

actually, apologies for the double ping, but @dav1d i'd like a spot actually!! i don't mind about apparel, although if possible i'd love for her to have the cloak. fully colored/shaded please! ^^
