The Plaguelings know better, they've learned and adapted as they always do, and they steer clear of the house made of fine, ivory stone. It's a beautiful home, dark and cold and tempting to strangers of the land who've wandered too far from the markers so easily lost in the flurries of white sand. The siblings there are just as enchanting, and they elegantly welcome weary travelers into their chambers. There's wine and food, and if a guest is particularly lucky, sometimes even a song from the Lady of the house herself. They offer all this and ask nothing in return, desiring only the company they so rarely get out here in the lonely desert, but where a plagueling might grow wary, most are put at ease. Maybe it's the Lady's song, or the unwavering gaze of the Lord; maybe it's just the wine, but all who enter find themselves...comfortable. It's not until their bellies are full, and their eyes heavy with sleep that they realize their mistake, but by then it would be too late. The Lord and Lady Redriven have adapted, as all Plaguelings do, and like spiders they devour their prey from the inside, draining them of every inch of life until there's nothing left.
