Vita's head popped out from above a bush. She looked quickly back and forth, spotted PSP, and ducked back under. She giggled to herself a little bit when he turned his head to try and spot her and failed.
"Vita! I know you're there," PSP cooed. Vita stifled another laugh. "Vita, come on, I admit you win already. Let's go back. They're gonna miss us if we're gone for too long." PSP petulantly scratched the ground with his left foot a couple times. Vita still didn't give in.
What exactly was happening here? Well, a friendly game of hide and seek! PSP and Vita were the clans most playful pair of dragons. They liked to liven things up with games generally seen only played by hatchlings. Nobody would admit it, but it really made brightened a lot of days. Seeing the two tussle and run around with so much energy just made everyone around them feel a little bit better.
.... But that didn't mean Vita was going to give up! She nestled herself a little more deeply in the bush, not expecting what happened next.
PSP pounced and pushed Vita out of the bush. They both tumbled out into the open. Vita sat there dazed and PSP was laughing hysterically. When he finally got himself together he said, "I heard you rustling around in there. Bet you wouldn't have guessed, huh?"
Vita pouted a little bit. "You got lucky. If I hadn't moved, you would never have known."
When Vita wouldn't look him in the eye, PSP got a little concerned that she was actually upset. "Aw, come on, you'll get me next time!" He stood up and extended an arm to help her up as well.
She grabbed his hand and pulled with all her might. He came tumbling back onto the ground. "There, now we're even."
"Okay, okay, I'll accept that. Now, let's go home."
It's a good thing they did. They really were appreciated back at the clan. Everybody needed to be reminded sometimes that letting go and having fun was okay, even if sometimes they pretended it wasn't.
