I started to get this same error too. It was working last night for me.
I'm using firefox and also changed the settings for the socket, no such luck.

Thirded -- it was working this morning, now suddenly it's not, changing the socket didn't help. Firefox, Mac OS Sierra 10.12.

Currently on Chrome. Same here. Both the coli and fairgrounds give the "Connection Failed" error. I'm already using the alternate socket, but changing back to the normal socket didn't help at all.
EDIT: Works on Safari for those like me that are super desperate. It's extremely slow but it's better than nothing for right now!

I'm having the same problem.
Tried changing the socket, switched from chrome to firefox, same problem there.
Cleared cache, restarted internet, restarted comp. Nothing is working.

Same thing here. It worked fine an hour ago. I had to go AFK for a bit and I come back and try to continue playing and the amount I had made was gone and I'm starting at zero again. Except I can't start to play.
