TOPIC | Bio deleted itself
I was working on a dragon's bio, which was my wishlist for genes, skins, and vistas. After adding a few genes into it, I saved it. When I looked at it, it was blank, so I went back into the code. Everything was still there so I saved again and went to look at it. It was blank again, so I went to check the code one more time and everything was gone. It was completely blank, there was no code. I did not refresh at all.

The dragon is here, if you want to see. By the way, I am using google chrome.

Nope, nothing special, just some text and item codes.

Hello, @BeardedDragon123! Very sorry for the frustration with this. :( When a dragon's bio doesn't show up, but there's still code when you go to edit it, that generally means that you forgot to close a tag somewhere. That doesn't usually erase it though - bios are known to vanish at times if you bond with a dragon's familiar directly after editing it. This is the first I've seen of the code vanishing after saving.

If you do not have a backup of that bio and it took a lot of time to create, you can always send a message to staff through Contact Us and let them know what happened! They may be able to restore it for you.

@Alphaeon Something similar just happened to two of my dragons. One happened on this dragon. He has an artwork and badges I have collected and arranged with codes. But upon submission it erases everything. I assume I must have deleted by mistake... but the artwork was commission by myself so I do have a copy... And then the same thing happened today. I was working on updating some coliseum items in this dragon's bio when all of a sudden clicking submit erases everything I've done. While I am not particularly bothered about my missing codes I am really sad that the artwork is gone as well. The dragon was a gift so I have no idea where to look for a saved copy of the art. I do not know if there is anyway to restore it but i hope I can get the artwork back.

@shoulyon if you did not use any special characters and the bio is still there when you click edit, then it means you're missing a bracket (as alphaeon said)
As a side note, it's usually best to make a new post since adding on to someone else's may make your question go unnoticed

@ShouLyon, do be sure to check and see if the code is still in the bio when you edit it. If the code is there, as mentioned above, you simply having a missing [ or ] somewhere. :)

If the code is completely gone, you can follow the Contact Us link in my other post and see if Customer Support can't restore a previous version for you!
