When I try to send a message now I get the Error:

Please correct the following errors before proceeding:
Please wait a while before sending more messages.

Is this because of the network problems the site is going through atm?

Could be that, but I suspect they made the trigger for making you wait a bit more twitchy after the 4500 friends person event.

But that didn't have anything to do with messages right? Wasn't that more about friend requests?

And even after 15 min I couldn't send a message yet. :/

Yeah, but the network issues appear to have cleared up and this is happening still...
