I used 3 Vial of Scattersights on this dragon. The first vial changed him from Common to Uncommon, but each vial after left him at Uncommon, essentially wasting two vials. Is this a bug or is this suppose to be possible?
Edit:
It seems like a lot of people are having the same problem. Staff hasn't commented on the issue yet, lets hope it's addressed soon.
There's also seems to be a similar problem with some user's initial scatter.
If your common eyed dragon didn't change, check your horde, the vial may not have been consumed properly the first time.
UPDATE:
Still no direct statement addressing the issues, but this is the latest comment from staff.

Scattering just picks randomly from the options, it doesn't guarantee something different. It's technically possible to use a colour scatterscroll and get exactly what you started with!

Uh yeah, this just happened to me and im a lot angry. Waste of two scrolls and an UGLY eye color??
3 Vials on same dragon, got "unusual" all three times.
Edit: Not a curse but apparently you cant use the other word for very very angry. Another edit cause i let emotions cloud my logic. Just removed that i was gonna make another thread cause i did then i deleted it. rip

:'> Could just be really bad luck... but I wanted to mention it regardless.

I will get those light pink eyes though.
I used mine and mine stayed common :| even though it says " apply a random natural eye type to the dragon it's used on (excluding the default “common” eyes that have been available since the site launched.)"
edit: nvm apparently it didn't actually use it even though it disappeared from my hoard for a minute

I've had the same issue as well with my dragon.
If it's intentional i'm fine with it, I just want to make sure it isn't a bug
but I WILL get multiple eyes on my first gen spiral before this event is over

I'm feeling like the eye types definitely do have increasing rarity.
After using 10 scatters I got:
7 uncommon
2 unusual
and finally 1 rare
Plus 2 more scatters on a second dragon now that were both uncommon.
In the scrying workshop the eyes are listed:
common
uncommon
unusual
rare
faceted
multi-gaze
primal
glowing (being a gem eye, so naturally highest rarity)
So if that is the order of rarity, it'd make sense based on the scatters I've had so far, even if it's a small pool thus far, but I'm going to continue to keep track. In other words, I really hope the admins decide not to retire these after all based on feedback, and I feel very sorry to anyone trying to scatter primal eyes.

I was just about to make this thread! I was super unimpressed. I feel like even though they have rarities, the chance to land on the same eye type should be excluded from the pool of possible outcomes, just so we don't waste vials for the same result 15 times. So like you can go backwards and forwards but not stay in the same place.

I've gotten two rares and two uncommons. Given that the eyes are named the way they are, I had thought it safe to assume that scrolls had staggered chances to give certain eyes. It makes sense that you would get common or uncommon eyes more often than say, rare or unusual eyes.

they really should give something different. i got four uncommons out of 7 vials. uncommon --> uncommon --> faceted --> uncommon --> uncommon --> rare.
