I have a strange problem to report. It started a couple of weeks ago wherein every time I tried to access FR through Safari on mobile, I kept getting spam redirects to "free giftcard" websites, and no matter what I clicked on in FR, it would just keep doing it. It did it a few times through the Chrome app as well, but I don't recall it being as severe.

That problem went away after awhile, but today on my normal desktop PC, I received a notification twice that an unknown IP address tried to access my computer through Chrome, and the only tabs I had open were FR and Google Drive. Chrome also tells me FR isn't secure, but I'm pretty sure I remember reading that was a www1 thing when the site started to switch over.

Anyway, idk what the deal is, just thought I should mention it in case something is wrong.

Bad advertisements should be reported to the appropriate thread here, found in FRD, so that they can be blacklisted from the advertisement portal that FR uses. FR doesn't have direct control over what advertisements appear, they can only blacklist inappropriate/malware/intrusive ads as they are reported to them.

The only way to guarantee that you won't continue getting these kinds of ads (because it is a never-ending battle with them) is to use an adblocker on FR.

The security thing is something that is known and isn't really an issue for now - it is indeed something to do with how FR is currently hosted on the two domains we have right now.

@Alphaea Oh I looked for the Advertising Report thread but thought it would be in the bug report forums, so didn't see it. Whoops. I'll keep that in mind and will save the IP address/screenshot the ad(s) so they'll have something better to reference. Thanks.
