TOPIC | [T] Coliseum: slows after magic attacks
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 ... 27 28
I'm running Google Chrome on Windows Vista.

When magic attacks are used (by my dragon or my enemies), on a fairly regular basis it will cause the rest of the battle(s) to slow down to the point where I've all but given up on battling.

It's all but guaranteed to happen for my dragon, but only happens once in a while for my enemies.

It doesn't lag, but the framerate or something just completely slows down. I used some free recording software to show you what I mean: click!

The video is pretty crappy, but is shows what I'm talking about.

Tip for other people with this problem, use your casters to Heal and Rally other dragons until it's leveled enough to use it's final elemental attack, like Contaminate for Plague dragons. Those attacks don't trigger the lag, and do pretty hefty damage.

The video you posted - that's your play experience before a magic attack?

That is still way, way, way, WAY below intended performance. Chrome should be running at a smooth, slick 60 frames, and other browsers should run at a respectable 30.

I would be interested to hear if you still have this issue when using a browser other than Chrome. The video shows an absolutely unacceptable level of performance (in my opinion), even before magic is cast.

Imagination is the reality of our dreamscape.
@thrage I don't know if you can see the Annotations, but the lag starts at :50. The initial lack of frames is the video recording software I used; it's not the best.

It lags so badly in Firefox for me that I honestly can't tell if it's effected anything.

I'm having the same issue as Kogasha. My Fae will cast Contuse, and all of a sudden EVERYTHING slows down. I use Google Chrome and Windows 7. Oddly enough, this only happens when I'm using the desktop computer. My laptop runs perfectly fine.

I have this exact same problem. Usually most often triggered by bolt attacks, then secondly by any other magic attacks. I'll go from a very very high frame rate to what seems to be under 5 fps, virtually impossible to play through.

I use Chrome with win vista 64bit. Never had issues like this on other sites with games using html5 or java or anything like that, so I'm not really sure what could be the trigger. I have no fps issues on mmorpgs or browser based games.

This happens to me too, using Google Chrome, Windows Vista, and after a contuse. It starts with a pleasing frame rate, but then contuse goes off and drops the speed for the remainder of that battle and all future battles until you refresh.

I've tested it on Safari and found that this problem is not present there.

Just tested it on my mom's computer, and it works perfectly. She's running Chrome and Windows 7, but she isn't signed into Chrome.

Is anyone else that this is happening to signed into Chrome?

My report is different than the 'slow down' of fps with attacks.

It's now 'sticking' and 'pausing' once you attack, or waiting on a turn. I think when the FPS was turned down it's somehow made everything 'wait' after every action. It's really making playing impossible, dull and long.

EDIT: Been doing some battles now and it seems to be much better, almost back to what it was like yesterday.

EDIT: Oop, slow again. :D
