Tzumi : This piece is absolutely gorgeous. I enjoy the amount to "dragon" you put into the gijinka; the skin color, horns, tail, and gembond. Even though that hair style seems slightly feminine, it works very well with how you've designed the rest of him. I also enjoy that you gave him some armor while still keeping the apparel that he is wearing, fitting to his warlord description. You've added emotion to the piece with his powerful pose (great choice with the angle of the point-of-view by the way, I don't see that everyday) and slightly annoyed look to his familiar. Adding the familiar was a nice touch, and it makes my eyes travel around the whole image more. I'm not sure if Pitch's familiar is happy to be with him, or in pain by being squeezed but that just adds to Pitch's mysterious nature. Needless to say, you definitely set a high standard for the other entrants; Great job and congrats!

Platypusquack : Acheri looks very youthful, innocent, and cute in this piece. Her slight smile and downcast eyes while she lightly holds a flower suggests a shy nature, which I think is fitting for her. I love the outfit that you designed for her, especially the circuit that merges into the dress and that the bottoms of both the dress and the arm pieces look like flower petals. The frontal straight forward pose is not very creative, and the coloring is a bit sloppy, but overall a very nice piece.

Kotomi : I'm sorry, but this piece does not make me think of Espkalt at all. There are no dragon aspects to her, except perhaps the indication of wings that look more like bones protruding from her back instead of the delicate wings of a Fae dragon. You portrayed her without any clothing or accessories when the dragon herself wears a lot of apparel. The straight forward stare is boring and the coloring is sloppy in several places. I enjoy the glowing balls of light and the slight glimmer of light in her eyes. Again, I'm sorry I don't have more positive things to say about this piece. Better luck next time.

Sheerivory : I gave you 2 points in Concept because the pose is dynamic and unexpected, though I'm not quite sure what he's doing with his hand. However you did lack in points for Execution for a couple reasons. You forgot the scars over his muzzle which I clearly stated in the description and the reference pictures, it's one of his most defining physical attributes and should have been added. The coloring is sloppy and the shading over his body makes it look smooth instead of furry. The shading is also very dark around his face so I can't see the details besides his eyes. I do like the glowing eyes. I can't tell if he's grinning or grimacing, if he's grinning then it's very unlike his character. The anatomy could also have been worked on a little more. Better luck next time.

Pitch - 3 + 2 =

Megdrana : Pitch's striking pose and sly smirk were the first things that caught my eye in this piece. Instead of making him dark and menacing, you've made a Pitch that appears more charismatic and witty. You've made his outfit a bit outgoing and with flare yet his scratches and bloody hands still remain, it almost reminds me of a pirate captain. I enjoy your thinking outside the box. Speaking of boxes, I assume Pitch is presenting me with a birthday gift, but shall I trust his gift or fear it? ...Overall good job.

Hours : When I saw the smaller version of this piece in your forum post I was really excited to see the larger version because I was hoping there would be more besides the cropped box. I was disappointed to see that the larger version still seemed cropped around the edges, like there should be more than just her head and shoulders and just a peak at her familiar's eye. It would have been SO COOL if you had done a full body piece and added the whole familiar, I loved your idea that the familiar was that huge, like she could ride it. I do enjoy how you colored her gembond, but it's a little hard to tell that there's actual blood on the cloth, oozing from those gems. Her pose is boring and the coloring is a bit sloppy. This piece has so much potential but just falls short. Better luck next time!

Livane - 3 + 2 =

Coldlock : You're interpretation of Livane's Nightmare Armor is really cool. To add the eyes in with the scales gives her an even bigger creepy factor which is so fitting to her character. I'm not sure what the red ribbon is suppose to be, but it definitely helps draw my eye into the piece and it gives her a more dynamic pose. I like that her hands are shown instead of hidden away at her sides. I also like the extra twists you gave to her horns, they look quite menacing. I'm glad you didn't leave the background blank, but you added some swirling forms that add to the nightmare quality. Only a 2 in Execution because the coloring is sloppy, especially where her pale skin color overlaps your lines. Also, her eyes look a bit strange, like there are lenses or something over them. It is hard to tell. Overall good job though.

NaettleLeaf : You did a good job on his pose, and I enjoy the amount of dragon you put in his gijinka. However you did fall flat on the Execution. The lines are sloppy and the color looks very light and unfinished. It seems very rushed. If you had taken more time on this piece I think it would have turned out very nice. Better luck next time!

iBrBz : The straight forward stare is boring but I do enjoy that you added his familiar and the accent. It was a little hard to see his actual mouth between the painted-on grin, and I think I would have liked to see you incorporate the accent as his actual face or a bone-like mask. The coloring seems rushed. I do enjoy his dragon ears and horns. Nice job, better luck next time.

Tyeth : I really enjoy this piece. The pose could have been a bit more interesting, but your execution of lines and colors is very neat and beautiful. I like the amount of dragon aspects that you gave her, especially her wings. The background is simple yet elegant, I love the oval shape. You made her look very kind and gentle, great job.

Fibbs - 3 + 3 =

Tyeth : I love that this piece almost looks like a screen cap from an animation. The whole piece is very fun and I enjoy looking at it. I'm glad that you added a background. The Sprite adds so much to the piece, and it cracks me up! Fibbs looks amused as well. I love your interpretation of Fibbs, she looks like a tom-boy, tough but easy-going and a trustworthy friend. I love that you added all her genes and apparel. The lighting from the fire is spread nicely throughout the whole piece and makes it feel warm and welcoming. Great job!

snairmair : You've done a wonderful job portraying Livane. Her twisting pose and devious face fits Livane perfectly. I love your crisp lines and clean coloring. The coloring on her Nightmare Armor is superb. I like that you added the smoke trailing from her limbs and the little nightmare ghosties. Your style is so unique, I love seeing my character in it! Great job!

Trillium : I'm sorry, but this piece is just not very interesting. The cropping to his neck leaves me wanting to see more of his body. His horns are a bit small and you could have gotten more creative with his jewelry since it's the only amount of clothing showing in this piece. The coloring is sloppy, especially on the neck under the chin. Good job with the eyes. Better luck next time.
Trillium -
Locke - 1 + 2 =

Trillium : Like your first entry, the plain headshot was an uninteresting move. The coloring is a little better on this one, but still seems very rushed. You are missing the other facial marking that mirrors the one on the right side of his face. I like that the eyes are looking away and the stitches on his mouth. I'm sorry I don't have better things to say about your entries, try pushing yourself harder next time!
Starphrax -
Acheri - 2 + 3 =

Starphrax : I like the movement in this piece, from her flowing hair and tilted head to the flower petals and I think her tail in the front. I wish not so much of her was hidden away, because your style is beautiful! Your lines are crisp and your coloring very clean and lovely. The eyes were startling at first, but I really enjoy them. She looks like she could have a little devious streak in her when she gets older, a real heart breaker! Overall, and very beautiful piece and it leaves me wanting more!
Prototype666 -

Prototype666 : It looks like you did a lot of experimenting with this piece, but unfortunately the end results were lost in the mess. I'm glad you took some risks, but it's just too sloppy for my tastes. Better luck next time!
Prototype666 -
Pitch - 2 + 2 =

Prototype666 : Pitch as a lion was highly unexpected and quite interesting. However interesting, absolutely nothing points back to his original design. I'm not sure why he is a lion or why he would have blue fire everywhere, though it does look cool. The coloring looks nicer, perhaps watercolors? but seems a bit rushed. A better entry than your last, but doesn't fit the character design. Sorry!
paradoxwizard -
Ptolemy - 3 + 2 =

@
paradoxwizard : Ptolemy as an old, kind of flabby man was very unexpected and I enjoy his pose a lot. I also enjoy that you didn't eliminate his circuit but rather transferred it to his throne. He looks deep in thought, and perhaps the chair helps to amplify his brainwaves or something sci-fi like that xD. Although I do like the chair and the character design, the coloring was very sloppy and rushed. Good job and better luck next time!
Pagen -
Espkalt - 3 + 3 =

@
Pagen : I love your interpretation of little Espy! This whole piece is almost just fashion design, but her pose and her gaze still reel me in to her human qualities. Your coloring is clean and I enjoy the slight textures you added to her skirt and the background. The apparel looks great, she looks ready for battle! I find it interesting that you made her face fins into a headdress and I like that the skirt mirrors the shapes in her original skin. It looks like you spent a lot of time on this. Great job!

Akatosh - 2 + 2 =

maplebit : zooooom iin, ah there she is. You could have cropped this piece much closer to Akatosh and her familiar and it still would have been apparent that she was in front of a cave entrance. I love the level of detail you put into Akatosh and her familiar! Each chain link and feather can be seen, though again cropping it closer would help to emphasize those details. Your clothing design for Akatosh is awesome, and I like the little lantern you gave to the bird. I also enjoy the amount of dragon aspects you gave to Akatosh. Her pose could have been a bit more dynamic. The coloring is a little sloppy, especially around the hand that is not holding the bird and in the background. Good job overall.
