Entry Seventeen
Noir stared out, he was out the front of the lair again. Staring out into the empty Expanse, he wondered what lay beyond the borders. North was the Light Land, East was the Fire .... But no one had been South. He frowned slightly, flexing his battle razed claws, finally standing up. He wanted to enter the cave, but it had been rather hectic as of late. With the disapearance of Garrik, the Mirror has been acting off. He is skittish and easily startled now, Where did that Tundra go? "Maybe I'll go looking for him.." He openly pondered as he watched the silvery Mirror dig through his own belongings. He really did seem lost - the who flame brothers never got along quite the same as the rest of the clan. Noir approached his room and coughed slightly, and as expected, the Mirror jumped slightly. "What issss it!" Sonata hissed, his firey eyes darting slightly around the room. "I...Was wondering if you had found anything yet." The guardian asked quietly, looking around the upturned room. Barking back, "No! If i had i would not be here!" His frills wavered, the ripples along his spine now fully defined. He had grown into an adult - and no one even noticed.
Noir sighed slightly, "I am here if..you needed help..." he trailed off, leaving the mirror to his business. Each to their own, i guess.
There was a loud yelp coming from the nesting room out back, and he automatically dashed to the room. "Mum!" He growled, trying to find out what had hurt her. Voltaic was beside her, as she rubbed her belly. "Noir, It is alright. Come here..." She cooed, and guided her adoptive son's head to her lower stomache. "I am with children, soon I will lay the eggs - I suspect tommorow evening."MBoss glowed, there has not really been happy news in many weeks! "Noir exhaled and smiled, "Thats Great mum." He nuzzled her slightly, before requesting to speak with the other Guardian.
"I am having these feelings...Like...I don't want to leave....But i want to explore. Theres something out there for me- I can feel it deep inside me! And with Garrik missing...I kind of want to find him?" His tail whipped with agitation, as he had no way to describe what he was feeling. Voltaic nodded slightly, "Boy, You are looking for your Charge. All guardians have it...it is a great honour, your Mother is my Charge, and it is wonderful. I shall guard her and our offspring - and this lair- with my very life. Her happiness is my priority. That is my charge." He tried to explain, hoping it would help the adolescent some how.
"If you want to leave...No one is stopping you. YOU are an adult now, you can make your own desisions. Just know, we will always welcome you."
The full moon glowered through the burnt trees, as ash fell from the sky. The warm currents of the Ashes Waste was comforting - Garrik was home. This is where he belonged. He glided towards the smallest volcano, seeking out the Witch. It came to him in a dream, and this was his calling. He had to find her! Closing his eyes, the tundra felt a tug at his heart, as he shifted his wings slightly, trailing to the left. The wind currents kept him afloat, and a small lit cave came into view. It had bones decorating the entrance and smelt of decay. Garrik entered without a second thought and met the gangly witch. "You have come, Garrik." She crooned.
He gave her his paw, which had been shared with his brother, Sonata. "This will work. Are you ready?" she hissed, staring at him with blank eyes. "I was born ready." Garrik spoke, with a gruff deep voice - the first he has spoken since his hatchday.
