Starting up my own Nuzlocke! ;u; I'm gonna miss some of my pretty dragons!
I'm not going to be destroying all my dragons. There will be 2 survivors, but with different (intersecting?) stories.
Any significant items (eggs, familiars, etc.) will be written into the story updates.
Feel free to leave comments and talk to me!
I will aim to add a new part to the story at least once a week, but we'll see how that goes!
The Rules
- I cannot buy eggs.
- I can't scatter scroll a dragon until they've reached level 25.
- I may purchase one breed change for any dragon once all three dragons in the coli team are level 15.
- I cannot gather food, I must grind for it in the coli.
- If I hatch a guardian it must leave my lair to search for its charge when it becomes one month old unless I really become attached to it.
- I can buy one dragon from the AH during a festival, but it must have the festival's element eye color.

All I can see, is the Darkness. The cries and screams of my clanmates send shivers up my spine, and I wonder if I am still hearing some of my clan die. I curl up into a ball, nestling in my bed of feathers, which feels more like a bed of thorns.
I slowly open an eye, and listen. No. There is no longer the sounds of crying, or the tear-filled wishes told to a clanmate that they'll be alright. Everything is silent.
For a moment, I hope I have just overslept, and the other mostly healthy members of my clan have gotten up to go hunting.
But I fear this is not true. I slowly get out of my bed, and head to the space where my sick clanmates had been staying while we all prayed to Shadowbinder that they would recover.
The stench made me gag as I approached, and tears began to form in my eyes. They were all gone. Their hollow eyes, now turned white. Blackish purple liquid streaming from the corners of their eyes and mouth. Twisted expressions of pain etched on their faces. I quickly turned away.
I knew they had been getting worse, but why did their lives have to end like this? Not six days ago they were all happy, pranking each other and delighting in life. Now all remained was their decaying, disease-riddled bodies.
I collected myself enough to walk up to my clanmates. Slowly, I began burying them each at the base of a great evergreen, that surrounded the gathering space. When I reached Shadow, the previous clan leader, my legs buckled, and I had to sit for a while, tears streaming down my face. The great imperial, who I had always adored, no longer had shimmering purple scales, no longer joked with a twinkle in her eye. She had been healthy just last night, but now she was gone. Her gentle leadership would no longer be felt by anyone...
I hear a cough. She's still alive! I quickly scurry up to her head. "Shadow! Shadow! Speak to me!" I cry out.
She coughs, and opens her eye, now a very pale lavender color. She's fading fast. "D.....rr...Draco" she barely can whisper, "Draco...you're the...only one..." she begins coughing again, and I wait, tears still draining down my face, "You're the last...of this clan...be...a good leader..." With that, she sighed her last breath, and closed her eyes.
"N-no! Shadow! Come back to me! I can't be a leader! I'm too young...I...I can't." I blubbered, my speech and visioned too slurred by my tears. I let out a scream of anguish. This is not how anyone should have to die.
When I collect myself a little bit, I honor her wish. I am now the leader, whether I like it or not. I don the [item=tricktrouper crown][item=shady armband][item=shady emblem],[i] the official apparel of my clan's leader. I bury my leader underneath the largest tree of the grove.
I walk back to my bed, weary after laying my clanmates to rest, but before I reach the safety of the lair and my bed, I hear voices, but of the Beastclan languages. I quickly rush to the sound, and sneak behind a rotting log. In the dimness of the evening light, I see a Centaur and a Raptorik arguing over a lone [item=unhatched plague egg].[i] My feathers bristle at the sight. Even though I coudn't understand their words, I knew they were arguing over who would get to kill it.
Before they could decide, I rushed in. I know it's stupid to attack two strong enemies at once, but a red haze clouded my vision and better common sense. The ferocity and quickness of my attack was enough to scare them off.
Carefully and tenderly, I clutched the smooth, slightly slimy egg. I could feel movement beneath the thin shell. Though the egg is not of my Flight, I will keep it. This poor egg is as alone in the world as I am. I take it back to my lair, and nestle it in my bed, surrounding it with the softest feathers I could gather. I curled up around it, and watched as the surface pulsated and glowed with an eerie green color. I will protect this baby no matter what. It is my only clanmate.
Just as I begin to nod off into sleep, I begin hearing a small chirping noise, and felt the egg wobble. Suddenly, the nose of the hatchling broke through the thin shell of the egg. It was all purple, perhaps a tribute from the gods to the land where he hatched at. His eyes though, were glowing the bright red of the Plague clan. I nestled him close, and cleaned off the egg goo remaining on his brilliant purple scales. He happily chirped, and soon fell asleep nestled against my belly. I hummed happily, something I haven't been able to do for a while. "Sleep my little brother," I whispered, "I am here for you, and I will always be here...Taz" I say as I drift off to sleep.

A slimy, writhing pustule, complete with a stench to match. This egg is dangerous, for it incubates a twisted, twitching, virulent creature inside its translucent membranes.

In the morning, I go out in search of food. Taz would be safe in the nest, he could barely walk at this young, let alone fly. I wonder what little fae dragons eat? Plants or inescts sounds about right, I can't imagine that a little thing like that would be bloodthirsty for meat, or like seafood like I do.
As I approach the training grounds, I become greatful to my parents, who insisted on teaching me how to scratch the enemy, rather than using our inborn magical abilities. While I knew that magic could be powerful, it wouldn't be much help now, while I fight alone.
Some enemies fell easily beneath my claws, but others could have nearly felled me. After some time, enemies became easier to kill. Perhaps I can make it. I must make it. For my little brother. They young hatchling is relying on me, and I will not let him down.
It is dark when return back to the tunnel of interwoven thorn branches that make up the entrance to my lair. I glance around at the gloomy thorns, which serve as the walls to the entire den. Thick-trunked trees are scattered throughout, determining where the walls connect. Around the outermost perimeters are double walls of the thorns, but they are almost unnessesary. Pools of dark mud protect some sides, while dense forest, too thick to walk through, or even cut through, protect the remaining sides. the tunnels of thorns were open in the middle of the gathering spaces, letting in the moonlight. I weave some [item=glowing pocket bauble][i] into the thorns well past the entrance, which provide a soft glow, gently lighting the walkway.
I continue to string the glowing baubles all the way to my bed, where I hang the most. Taz watched me with his unnervingly large red eyes, and chirped happily as the space began to glow with a gentle, comforting yellow light. This light is better than the blue mushrooms, I think. It feels warm, and happy. I toss a few of [item=firestarter][i] on the small firepit I have near my bed. The old wood catches fire instantly, and gently crackles, sending the smoke curling up through the thorny roof. Good thing I had been carful and not strung these through the thorns. Although the thorns were still alive, a fire would have caused a good chunk of damage to the structure.
I had found a few more [item=tiny feathers] [i]for my bed, and teased Taz with them for a little bit.
He began to chirp hungrily, and I pushed the plants and insects I gathered to him. He ignored the plants. At least now I know what he eats. Taz filled his belly full, then drifted off to sleep. He didn't eat much, so I still have plenty left for him tomorrow. I sighed. At least little brother is happy. I had barely caught enough seafood to make a mouthful. My stomach growled at me. It can't be helped, I'll go out again tomorrow.
