TOPIC | Help me name my city!
My lore centers around a city in Light (even though I'm not there yet) but it doesn't have a name. As you can see, this a problem. I'll give a [item=Hippogriff] to the person who comes up with the name I choose. A summary of city for inspiration:
A coastal city with rich maritime history and a oddly close-knit community (seriously it's like a big messy but happy family) that's a hub for any kind traveler you can think off. Also, it's a huge weirdness magnet. All it needs is a name.
Danish, Norweigan, or Swedish for lighthouse. So it fits the Light theme, as well as the coatal city. Lighthouses are built near well-trafficked dangerous waters/shores, so it also fits "hub for any kind traveler you can think of". Lightkeepers also have to row out and save sinking boats who've crashed on the shores, which might bring in some weirdness.

Hmm... I like the the lighthouse idea, but I'm going for more of a Greek/Roman feel.

@WildRose42, facetiously, Latin for lighthouse is pharus, which seems to be a close transliteration of Greek pharos (φ?ρος).

Less facetiously, happy naming!

@WildRose42 Well, I'm not great at naming, but a couple could be Litore (beach in Latin) or Ortus (sunrise in Latin, seemed somewhat fitting). I dunno. Good luck! ^-^

Oops, too late lol

Caught between the mundanely awkward and the existentially impossible.
