On Flight Rising, lore typically refers to a users’ narrative about their clan or their individual dragons. [b][i]Does my lore have to be complete to be listed?[/b][/i] No! All I ask is that it has some level of substance written about it. It can be as small as a short paragraph on your clan profile or a full thread/blog dedicated to the stories surrounding your clan. [b][i]Does my lore have to adhere to FR’s rules?[/b][/i] Yes. While I do love creative freedom, this directory [i]is[/i] hosted on FR, and thus, all clans submitted must follow [url=http://www1.flightrising.com/forums/frd/749441]FR’s rules[/url], even if you host your lore on an offsite link. [b][i]What links can I submit?[/b][/i] The bare minimum for a submission is a link to your clan profile. You may also include any threads on FR’s forums dedicated to your clan, any blogs (tumblr or otherwise), google docs, spreadsheets, dragon links - essentially anything relevant to the story of your clan. Again, all I ask is that all links and the content within them adhere to FR’s rules. [b][i]Do I have to actively update my lore to be listed?[/b][/i] No, if your lore is complete you do not have to add to it unless you decide to. If you delete any links, please message or ping me so I can remove them from the listing. If you change your lore (ie. change the flight, plot, etc) please do message or ping me with a new form submission so I can update your listing. The lore is heavily based on meeting new Gen1's and "saving" them from getting exalted (or "sacrificed" as the Wastelanders would say). And if they can't reach this goal, they make sure every dragon gets a proper ceremonial death/exaltation/cremation/burial/etc... Cavebats are more like the magical dragons who are nurturing the good in dragonkind, while the Wastelanders believe more in technology and power. The Home is situated in a strange Citadel of unknown origin in an area where elemental magic ceases to function. At first the area was a region of constant study, but no answers were found and the researchers left. Soon after that the Citadel was put into use as the precursor to the Home, a secretive operation where dangerous dragons were hidden. It received little attention until [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=33352080]Kieron[/url], one of the dragons considered dangerous, had enough of the staff in charge of his care, staff who had no real guidelines to follow in dealing with him. Kieron became the source of a massive explosion that decimated most life within the Citadel. The incident brought attention to the Citadel, it could no longer be a secret institution. New staff were brought in and the Home was named and brought to the public's attention. Tourists and hatchlings with their parents tour the grounds, feel the strange lack of connection with their element, and ask to see the patients, which rarely happens. Some of the less dangerous patients roam, some of the ones that can't be easily contained as well, but most remain where they cannot hurt others, whether they truly have malicious intent or not. The details of the Home's workings are not open to the public. Neither are many of its records.
