To encourage interaction, Gods are discoverable, and require 'summons' to be introduced into play. Summoning is an item-based system where a user sends in a PM with specific items attached, in the hopes that it will lure in an undiscovered God. These messages will [i]always[/i] receive a response from a deity, approximately 300 to 500 words in length, but may not unlock a new one. Which god is summoned depends on the items sent in, and multiple different combinations may summon the same God. In certain situations, a God may respond simply because they are, [i]at the moment[/i], the best and/or [i]only[/i] fit. The summon used in these cases may not be added to the summons list. Summons for each god will be posted under [url=http://www1.flightrising.com/forums/cc/2387986#post_31980139][color=steelblue]Known Summons[/color][/url]. Apparel, treasure, gems, or familiars will [i]never[/i] be needed to summon an undiscovered diety. The quantity of the individual items does not matter, either. You can ask to have your response remain private but otherwise it will be posted in the thread. Once posted, you can ask to have it removed at any point. For people not willing to risk hard-earned items, one already-discovered God a will be posted at the heading post at random intervals. This God will respond to any and all messages addressed to them regardless of whether or not it contains the correct summoning items. The pinglist will be notified when this happens and anyone can send in a message for free during this time! Sometimes, Gods end up responding to a "grey" summon that only partially grabs their full attention. They will still talk to and interact with their worshiper, but will not be fully discovered. Certain attributes, such as their visage and parts of their domain, yes, but not their full description. It is encouraged (but not mandatory!) that messages have a brief snippet of context, so the God has something to interact with when they arrive. They are usually quite chatty folk and love talking with worshipers! Don't be afraid to send in summons with questions, lore prompts, requests, or similar. Gods will often send gifts back to followers or follow in on a worshiper they have become particularly fond of. These gifts can be any item and/or any quantity of gems or treasure. Check-ins are akin to hatchling letters but instead of your kid calling home, it's a God ripping a hole in the universe, shoving their head through the window of your living room, and screaming.[/indent] [font=reeee][size=5]A[/font][/size]SCENSION [indent]Many of the Lesser Gods of Querevage originally started out as normal dragons! Their ascension to deity status was either through a curse or through a blessing. Certain individuals prove their worth to the Eleven primary deities of Sornieth, and so are raised up to properly acknowledge their accomplishments. Others do not see their power as a blessing. These folk were individuals who led sinful lives full of misconduct and crime. Unlike their partners, they were forced to become the epitome of their wickedness, and now represent the horrors of their lives in the most vivid and primal manner possible. Deities can often be asked about their ascension stories, but some may be more hesitant to answer than others! In the cases of those more secretive creatures, the longevity of the relationship with them and what summon you use can be used as leverage to get them to talk.[/indent]
