Of course, I had a lot of people ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up and the answers always changed. I had a really difficult time settling on a career, even after I graduated highschool. Even on the other side of college, I'm not 100% happy with my career choice (is that even possible, though?), but it's a lot more stable option than what I wanted to do. I still hope to pursue those dreams in the future, though.

As for my FR characters:

Umbra didn't really think about what she wanted to be when she grew up. Pretty much all she ever wanted was to survive. That, and companionship. She really had a very lonely hatchlinghood. I think she would be very content with the way things have turned out so far. She has Crescent and they have created The Refuge, a place where all lost or outcast dragons are welcome, no questions asked. As for what I'm about to put them through? No, I don't think she'll be so happy about that.

Crescent always had an odd obsession with glowy things. Ask him what he wanted to be when he grew up and his response would have been, without hesitation, a candlemaker. Unfortunately, he didn't have the resources or the education to craft luminaries, so he became a thief instead. He used to steal candles from the Light dragons of the Hewn City, but eventually the law caught up with him, so he ran some place no light dragon would ever dare to chase him: the Foxfire Bramble. It was there he met a nearly feral Nocturne, took her under his wing, and founded The Refuge. It wasn't exactly what he envisioned for his future, but he is content with it. I think he would be both distraught and happy with what is in store for him. His future is rather bittersweet.

Well, I already have an eternal hatchling with lore that fits this prompt that I'll share here, but I will try to write a bit for an adult dragon too that will fit this weeks prompt. ----- [center][url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=46213111][img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/avatars/462132/46213111.png[/img][/url] [b]Skellyfish[/b][/center] Although Skellyfish is still a youngster, she already knows what she wants to be when she grows up: A doctor, just like her adopted father, FireCoral. She has a red notebook, just like her fathers, that contains a collection of medicine recipes and medical diagrams. She loves her notebook and takes it everywhere, adding to it every chance she gets. When she is old enough, she will join her father as a doctor in the clan. For now, she has to settle for being an observer with patients. But her father does let her assist him in making up medicines and elixirs. When she is not hanging around her fathers office, she can be found with her best friend Bioluminessie. They like to explore the deepest parts of the reef on the inside of the atoll. (Skellyfish is not allowed to venture to the outside of the atoll without an adult yet.) Skellyfish hopes to discover some new plant or animal that can be used in some magnificent cure she will develop some day. They raised him among the centaurs, teaching him to perform on as many of the instruments as his dragon claws could master. He thought that he would live his life traveling around Sornieth, performing with his adopted family. But that all changed the day they visited the shore of the Sea of a Thousand Currents. Trenchmurk was mesmerized by the ships docked at the port. He was drawn to the water and the idea of skimming across the surface faster than a dragon could fly. With his family's support, he sought out an apprenticeship to a ship builder. Eventually, he found his way to the Coral Reef, where he now builds all sorts of watercraft. He still enjoys performing and teams up with [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=24728594]Rio[/url] occasionally. They love to provide entertainment when the clan has large bonfire parties on the beach. -----

This prompt is actually really funny because I just started a project that has to do with this. Ever since I was very young, I've wanted to be a veterinarian because, while I've always wanted to fix people's injuries and help them continue to live, I actually don't see myself working well with human beings. I am, however, doing very well with the animals I have to work with(though I don't like their size). I definitely feel that I could be very successful in this line of work. I have him set as the clan's miner, but he'd rather be a witch doctor or mortician. He loves rocks, but also skulls and other strange items from the past. Death also intrigues him. He's been on the path of a miner for as long as he can remember, which angers him because he hates all the hard work. As an Arcane dragon, magic is more of his thing, and heavy lifting without the use of magic puts a lot of strain on his arms and legs. Being a Skydancer probably doesn't help much. If he met me, I'm sure he'd try to beat me up, or ask me to rewrite his story. I might, I might not.
