Hi friends, I run a dragon giveaway thread (Free Dragons. Free Lore.) where I give dragons to people for free and write free lore to go with them (pretty self explanatory). I love me some creative writing, but I am horrendous at coding/formatting/drawing nice things to spruce up my thread, and I want to revamp the format of it so it actually looks decent and isn't just a giant block of text with some random colorful words here and there.

Here's what I'm looking for:
- A personalized banner/art that depicts dragons and writing
- Coding/graphics to differentiate the "how to request a dragon", "requesting lore", and "available dragons" sections
- Any other small graphics or more visually appealing ways to link to things or just make the thread more aesthetically pleasing in any way

I am totally willing to pay someone for their work, so please let me know if you or someone you know is interested in helping me out-- I really appreciate it! Also, for anyone interested in doing some original artwork for me, please link to any of your previous work so I can check it out (:

I'm a bit rusty on graphics (except for maybe pixel art), but I'd be more than happy to whip up some fancy bbcoding for your thread!

My best example is probably my Fodder Games thread, which I recently revamped!

@TheAwesoMew Thanks so much for responding! I would love your help! I checked out your Fodder Games thread (cool idea by the way) and really like the little silver horizontal bars that designate the section titles. Something similar would be awesome, but maybe something that looks like a vine, or has little leaves on the end, or just something that looks more Nature-y? (cuz that's definitely a word). I'm not a huge fan of the block pictures (the snowscape ones) since I think I'm looking for something a bit more subtle. I do really like the font you used for the different Districts though.

@Xayxayx i see that someone else has already offered to do some bbcoding, but i can also help if you need a second coder! i will say i'm no professional, but i have some experience.

the most recent thread that i currently run that has some formatting on it is this one. i know it's not much, but i can add some small things!

@Xayxayx Alright, sounds good to me! I actually wasn't the original creator of those dividers, but I can probably try to make some edits over the weekend when I have a bit more time! @wyvernaura888 Thanks for offering to help! I am totally open to getting advice/help from multiple people, so if you have ideas, feel free to send them my way! Also, I'm in love with your art style-- it's so cute! Do you ever do digital art?

@TheAwesoMew Thanks for showing me some options! I think I like the look of the branch actually, but it does bother me a bit that it's not symmetrical (sorry OCD probs). But maybe two of them facing opposite directions would work? Or if there's another similar divider with a similar look that is symmetrical?

Also, I am not on a time crunch AT ALL for any of this, so please don't feel rushed and take your time! (My thread's looked this bad for quite some time, it can stand to look that way a while longer, haha).

As far as general design ideas, yeah, I'd say I'm looking for something more simple, elegant, and nature-related for sure. I didn't have a particular inspiration dragon in mind, but if I had to choose one, it'd probably be my matriarch, KucKuc (although I'm not sure if I would want to go with her color scheme), or my third-ranking female Andromache. Also, even though she's a shadow dragon, I think my girl Mosu has the kind of simplistic but elegant nature-themed feel I'm going for.

@Xayxayx Alright, sounds good! I’ll have a little bit of free time tonight to begin the coding process, and I’ll do my best to incorporate a more smooth, elegant nature theme! Your girl Mosu, I think, will be a great jumping point for the thread aesthetic! @Xayxayx no, sorry, at least not good digital art, ahaha. i don't have a tablet yet, so art on the computer will not fly. if i were to do digital, it would be on my phone with a finnicky little stylus thing.

but enough about me. as for coding, a few simple edits can make a thread look really nice! maybe some bold, or here and there (mainly titles), some dividers, and all that good stuff. here is a nice guide that i used to learn the basics. sorry i can't do much right now, as i have a backed up art thread that i really need to care for.
