Hi everybody!

I'm starting this month's chat thread a day early because I don't want people to think this announcement is an April Fools' Day prank.

I'm going on an indefinite hiatus from Flight Rising. I will not be starting the monthly chat thread anymore.

Because I love you all and you're the main reason I've stuck around on Flight Rising so long, I made a writing community on Dreamwidth: https://dragonwriters.dreamwidth.org/

You can get a Dreamwidth account for free, and there's no advertising on the site; it's pretty nice. If you don't want to sign up for an account, you can post comments using OpenID or anonymously. If you have/get an account and want to get email notifications of new posts in the community, you can go to the community profile page and click the "Track" link on the right-hand side.

If someone else wants to take over starting the chat thread, you are free to do so. The pinglist is still here, and remains editable by anyone.. I've spoken with @micahjaguar and she does not wish to run the thread anymore either.

Oh, I was going to mention:

I've moved all my perma dragons into my hibernal den. In a few days, I'm going to clear out my auction house listings and move the remaining dragons into the hibernal den as well. If you want to pick up a souvenir dragon from my lair, this is your chance.

*hugs all* I don't think I'll be around much if at all either. But you can still find me online. I have a twitter (mcahogarth) and a patreon (also mcahogarth), and my website (mcahogarth.org). I might check in once in a while, but I'm uncomfortable with too many things here now to be happy. :,

@LadyRowyn I wish I could say I was surprised, but I'm not. [emoji=tundra sad] Thank you for coming back to let us know, though, so we weren't left wondering. And thank you to both you and @micahjaguar for making such a lovely community. I did pick up one of your dragons, so thank you for that as well. (micahjaguar, it looks as though the babies in your For Sale tab aren't on the AH yet, but when they're ready to go, may I call dibs on #50612934?) Best wishes on your writing now and always!

I know we didn’t really talk much, but i can understand why both of you have decided to take an indefinite hiatus.

I’ll miss you both! If you don’t find anyone willing to take on the thread again, I’d gladly volunteer (however, only on the condition that no one else is interested).

Thank you @LadyRowyn and @micahjaguar both for many years of fond memories to look back on. You two were a large part of me finding my feet on Flightrising, and kept me motivated to write just by being here to chat to.

I also bought one of Rowyn's dragons, so he's going to be my little memorial to this thread and the good memories.

I may stalk you both from time to time, to see how your writerly things are going

These threads have been helpful in at least reminding me that I have a project and it's nice to have people to come say hi to.

Hell, I actually managed to get a paragraph written in March and a bit of an idea of how to continue the chapter that's had me stuck for about six months.
