Help me get back into the swing of drawing! Not first come first serve, not drawing every request. Open until I change the title to closed.
1. Provide image reference of dragon or character (max 3 per person)
2. For human-faced characters, please also provide human photo reference/stock image, or mention an expression/mood (or choice of expression/mood)
3. (Optional) Provide photo reference/stock image(s) of items for decorated portraits, if you want one
I often use real-life photo references when drawing human characters or items; they're useful to practice from. It just makes it easier if you're able to provide some for me to work with. (Except expressions, I have a nice reference pack for that.)
These are not commissions; I will take artistic liberties with these. They may not be colored but probably will be. Art will be sketchy like the above, but style may vary and I'll probably try to paint some too. I might draw some (sketchy) decorated portraits, something like these:
The sketch example is super recent, the decorated portraits are not.
Dragons and humans/humanoids preferred, other species okay, I can draw dragon gijinkas without a gijinka ref provided there's a human photo ref or you mention an expression. Fancy dragons are more likely to be drawn than dragons without accents/apparel. I also really like drawing pretty things like dice, gems/minerals, desserts/coffee, etc. so if you just want a still life painted, drop it here. If you'd like to provide a reference image but aren't sure where to find some, some free stock sites I know of include pixabay, pexels, and unsplash.
Please credit me if uploading the image anywhere else. Ping me @ velyanthe if posting on twitter, but I will probably post on twitter myself anyway.
No guarantees for art shop opening anytime soon but my art pinglist is here.
