As we all know, the RNG Gods can be merciful and simultaneously very very cruel so I wanted to try out something:

It's kind of like a uglacy challenge.

Basically you either start out with a hideous/ basic baby you breed to fully gened perfection or you start out with the most gorgeous thing and attempt to keep it's legacy perfect after 10 generations.

Start
  • To pick up your first hatchling, search for babies priced from 0-7000 (exalt fodder price). Don't specify for anything else.
  • Randomly generate a number between the first and last page
  • Repeat for a mate
  • Breed the two

For Each Generation
  • Once the nest has hatched, assign numbers to the babies and using a random number generator, select one to continue the line.
  • Find a mate on the AH using the same method you did for your starters

Rules
  • No scrolls (breed changes, scatter, etc).
  • All dragons must be purchased from auction house for no more than 7k
  • Bred dragons must be immediately exalted after hatchlings have hatched
  • Basically have fun and feel free to share additional rules and ideas

Hopefully it won't be TOO easy but if anyone has any suggestions please feel free.

Actually sounds really fun! If I had more lair space I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I have a couple of other challenges going on, but maybe once those are done, I'll do this one. Or if I get more lair space.

Cool idea! This challenge is very much my speed. I'll assess my nesting situation and start playing ASAP!

@raikishi Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but after generating a random page # in the AH, how did you choose which hatchling to grab from that page? Whoever's closest to the top?

So

you buy 2 dragons at random ?no more then 7k
then use the offspring + another 7k dragon to further your line?

for ten rounds?

@Heeroku

Yes, I was looking at the legacy challenge: uglacy and initially I thought the start could just be an ugly baby picked up off the AH and bred to perfection but it seemed a bit easy since there are a ton of dragons with really nice colors/ genes sold for exalt fodder price on the AH.

At least this way, it'd be a bit tougher?

And so it wouldn't be completely up to chance as you could pick up any of the dragons on the randomly generated page number.

I'd really love to hear suggestions to help work out the kinks, maybe? :)

@YseTheGreat
You'd get to pick any of the dragons on the page so that not everything's completely up to chance
