I've got these two Pumpkin-Squashy Autumn Harvesty colored dragons. I love how Skink works with Contour, so I wanna get Skink for each of em. But I can't decide what I want to do about their secondary gene. I can either: A: Give them both Spinner B: Give them both Butterfly C: Give Jarrahdale Butterfly and Kabocha Shimmer I would rather not give Jarrahdale Shimmer, since it pushes her wing colors more towards the yellow range. I plan on breeding them, so I'm reluctant to only give one of them Spinner, since gem genes are recessive. But it's definitely not out of the question Could I get some votes/opinions? Definitely butterfly for the boy, the warm reds in it go with the warm purplish accenting color in his neck frill.

As for the girl, I'm pretty torn - spinner does look fantastic but the yellows are much more evenly spread out on her with butterfly. This is especially well shown in her lower wing, its yellow accenting color is near the same accent in her neck frill, which blends almost seamlessly into the orangey-yellow shade in her neck on skink. Spinner just leaves her neck frill flat orange, so it just doesn't flow as nicely for me. I'm voting butterfly on both.

definitely c! the greens in kabocha's shimmer would work well with his primary, and Jarrahdale's butterfly is a warm color, and would look good with the contour!

@Cheeseburger :0 Good point! I didn't even notice the frill accenting on the girl! Thanks for lending me your eyes.

@Seijuurou Ahh I see what you mean with the green! It definitely seems to work really well with his primary! I definitely love how warm Jarrahdale's wings look with butterfly. I feel Spinner is also pretty warm too, but I do agree with Cheeseburger on how the neck frill blends better. I probably should have also made a preview for Shimmer on Jarrahdale, but it pushes her wings too far into the yellows I feel. Very cold.

Is there a secondary other than shimmer, butterfly or spinner that you think would look good on the male?

B looks good... spinner and butterfly both work for the girl.

@Fianna I think it's partially because I don't like how secondaries look on male nocturnes but there aren't any secondaries I like on him :c
Just my personal tastes though!!
