Dragon Share

For the past week or so I’ve been scouring the market for new dergs because I feel like my lair is missing something but I can’t figure out WHAT. It’s not a specific breed, it’s a color, but whenever I search I feel like I’m not doing it right. Anyone have any ideas on how I can improve my lair?

This isn’t me asking you to post what you have for sale, just some friendly advice :)

Breeds I like are as follows, but maybe someone can convince me otherwise....
Favorites: imperials and spirals, ridgeback males
Cuties: wildclaws, coatls, and bogsneaks
Depends on the color/genes: skydancers and nocturnes
Meh: fae, tundras, and snappers

@bioloyg Perhaps a dragon that looks like living lava?

red! you're missing red! >:O
underwater lava, lava in general, blood?, aesthetically pleasing red, red and golds, royal dragons, red!! A red crayon?

@ChaoticGlub I know but every time I look I feel like I’m not getting anything good! What kind of genes look good with the red group T~T I can’t find any combos I like

@bioloyg it depends.. i like jaguar/savannah or iri/metallics sometimes skinks is good! I mostly like xyz red combos in gens and xxy xyx in colors? Butterfly petal w/ red range color are awesome too!!!

Maybe some brows? They go really well with less expensive genes like cherub or seraph. Maybe with some lighter underbellies? (like white or just a lighter shade of brown?) These look really good on coatls and imps, (in my opinion) because they have feathers and (kinda?) fur

Or maybe more of a black contrast? Like the primary is black (either cherub, clow, iridescent or metallic work well) and the secondary and tertiary are matching colors. This looks really neat with lighter blues, reds, pinks and gold. For the secondary i would recommend a fancier gene like crystal, butterfly or iridescend.

OOOR! White! A dragon with a primary and secondary white and then a random tertiary color. It looks nice with the contrast. GOlden or blue runes, for example....

(these are heavily based on my own opinion, so dont worry if you dont like them haha)

Posion/Alloy/Glimmer. I personally like the SD, but looks good on Ridgies too, and you only have one male RB even though it's one of your listed favorites. So, my main advice is to get another male Ridgie STAT! XD

@wrecknrule I can not argue with that logic, also that color combo is SICK it’s so awesome. I’m also a sucker for poison/toxin gene combos

@bioloyg tbh I think your lair's fairly good colour-wise! it definitely needs some more bright yellows and reds, though I think the main issue is too many clustered blues

try rearranging your lair? I think you've got it in breed order right now (?) but imo it would look a lot nicer if you had a balance of colours and poses on one row (the second row of your second page is particularly guilty for being practically all blue, and the green isn't contrasting enough to set it off)
