EXPERIMENT will travel from lair to lair across the entire map. She has a bucket list set up, along with a pack of items! She wants to explore and learn and do all kinds of wonderful, amazing things. She wants to experience things her family will never know!
Occasionally you can have her send letters (messages) to her parents, children, or any other member of the clan to tell about her adventures or send home souvenirs! They will always get an answer, usually from who they were written to. Sometimes things will be sent back, including extra battle stones, foods, trinkets, and more for her to spread around the clan to show her thanks!

EXPERIMENT made a stop at another Arcane clan, bringing her daughter TEST with her. While staying with Clan Stellazzio, a pesky Fallbrush Fraud caught her Timber Tender familiar in a trap and took its place, going unnoticed for the majority of her time there.
Having caught the eye of resident Arcanist fanatic Thesis, she was taught how to mentor dragons chosen for exaltation and received a Starseer's Emblem for her service upon reaching Level 25. She was also given a magical scroll from Thesis's hoard, which gave her beautiful smoke-like markings when she read it.
EXPERIMENT was also a favorite of Prose and Summer, who gave her a flowery friendship bracelet to keep with her during her travels. EXPERIMENT was lucky enough to come to the the Tangled Wood in time for the Trickmurk Circus. She was taken in by a lively group of dragons that called themselves the Foxfyre pack. There was a huge mixing of different types of dragons, from the mysterious mist swirling pack founder Kaida, the sharply sweet Upala, or even the bright princely Flavus. The festival had them even more pumped and excited than usual, causing them to smother her with attention and invitiations to different events through out the Tangled Woods.
Most of her time was spent exploring the Ghostlight Ruins, an area teeming with all manner of Ghostly Horrors. During one of the fights against a Disoriented Spirit, EXPERIMENT was severely injured on her leg. Though the clan Doctor, Bashir, worked quickly and was able to give her full mobility of the leg again she still bore a scar from the attack.
She spent a good deal of her time hanging out with the clan magician, Freida. Freida was a Spiral like EXPERIMENT who wowed the masses with her amazing mana-less magic. The machines she used to achieve this fascinated EXPERIMENT, her innate Arcane curiosity making her obsessed with how they worked. Freida ran several shows using EXPERIMENT as her helper, but she never fully revealed her secrets to her.
EXPERIMENT greatly enjoyed her time there, and was thrilled when she was given an open invitation to come back. Perhaps she would someday, but it wouldn't be for a long time yet.[/quote]

Just around dusk, as the leaves and flowers in the Starwood began to glow, a lantern appeared on the path ahead; slowly taking form from the shadows as the light neared, a regal-looking imperial sauntered up to the travelers and politely offered to guide them to a safe place to sleep, citing her home clan as a haven for the weary. They took to a leisurely pace on foot, as the clan was nearby, and the forest was too thick to fly through here. As soon as they were acquainted, EXPERIMENT was eager to ask the imperial about the mountain. Toxy gave her a curious smile before taking responsibility. She explained that her clan's territory has a higher concentration of mages and witches; the unusual amounts of magic seems to excite the Arcane energies in the surrounding landscape, and travelers often see strange sights once they find themselves here. She added that, despite that, no traveler finds it who wasn't meant to find it. She has expressed great interest in what EXPERIMENT might learn here on her stay.
Throughout the week, EXPERIMENT was greeted warmly by each of the clan's prominent members in turn, all of whom wanted to befriend her and teach her new things. One taught her about blending teas for all sorts of ailments from commonly foraged items. Rooibos showed her the clan's constellations and explained their astrology system. Solace taught her a way to make pigments and inks when traveling and certain ingredients are scarce.
Unfortunately, EXPERIMENT's stay here was at a time when the clan was busier than anticipated with preparations for spring, and not everyone was able to meet with her. However, the clan invited her to come back and visit any time, sending her off with two enchanted deity puppets to protect her on her travels.[/quote]

She was sad to be informed that her father had been exalted, and that her grandfather was supposed to be leaving soon. But she didn't let it bring her down. It was hard to be sad when nearly everyone in the clan was bragging her with gifts and praise and welcome hearts. She turned down most of it, save a bag to carry things in, and a soft knit scarf to keep her warm on her trips to colder lands.

After an exhilarating day of training, she settled down in the cool shade of the lair to share the food she'd gathered and swap tales of adventure with Oceansong, her new Pearlcatcher friend. The following days were calmer, slower-paced, as she'd come to expect from Earth clans. Along the way down, EXPERIMENT did meet a very friendly Megashrimp that followed her around, even to the darkness of the trench. Her guides looked on fondly at the scene of her whirling around her new companion.
After nearly an entire days work of digging up relics in near pitch darkness, EXPERIMENT was ready to call it in for the night. EXPERIMENT stuffed herself with all the food from their insane food storage that her body can handle. (Seriously for a small clan why so much food stored? What are they expecting a drought? They live in water!) She lazed the day away listening to the water dragons and their visions of the future.
On her final day with this clan, they did nothing more but fret over her asking if she has enough food for her next journey, if she packed all her belongings, if she had a plan, if she was well rested. EXPERIMENT laughed that this whole clan practically acted like one big worried parent. She warmed up to Aluino very much during her time there, after all this was the big overgrown maren that invited her here. So Aluino gave EXPERIMENT a tidelord doll to remember her time under the currents. And to let her know she would always be welcomed back.[/quote]

She signed the eight forms required by the Assistants of the Spire, narrowly avoiding a trap built of triplicate forms, and sent her things ahead once again....[/quote]

As soon as the hatchlings got wind of another traveler being within the clan, the Spiral was soon busy answering all their questions about her adventures, as well as the flights and families she'd visited. Soon the Wispering Hall was filled with an attentive audience, young and old, and EXPERIMENT quite enjoyed the role as storyteller; but eventually her voice grew tired of it and the Spiral was quite grateful when Deoch saved her from all the attention.
After the commotion of the first day, EXPERIMENT could spend some relaxing days at Clan Àidhear and was able to meet all kind of characters and personalities. Then Deoch noticed the travelers big and heavy luggage. During various conversation she told him about the troubles she had lately to get from one lair to another, the delay in departure it causes and about her fears of loosing all her collected belongings. So, he offered the traveler the services of the clan's trusted couriers to send part of it home to her own family and EXPERIMENT gladly took the offer.

She was a little surprised to have gotten several hours into her trek without having been met by Toxy, the clan's infamous greeter, who always came to guide travelers down this path; but as she drew closer, she noticed a scented smoke on the breeze and knew something terribly interesting must be afoot. The clan here used their ever-burning bonfire as a means of communicating, scenting or dyeing the smoke with herbs and minerals to indicate certain events. She didn't know what this almost candy-like scent could mean, but it was certainly something good.
Sure enough, Toxy's great shadow eventually appeared above the treetops. She apologized profusely for her tardiness, but EXPERIMENT was more than understanding and very curious to know what was going on that would make the ever-loyal Imperial forget her duties. She explained that EXPERIMENT had returned to visit on the very same day that the clan's erstwhile progenitors, Sailes and Wiztix, had returned after years of absence spent in the service of the Arcanist; they were gone for so many generations that most of the clan had also never met them, but all were thrilled by their sudden homecoming.
To celebrate, the Arcana threw an enormous party that lasted the entire week, complete with constant feasting and music, and every member of the clan had the chance to showcase their talents and creations, from art and spellwork to teas and architecture. They were all in immensely high spirits and EXPERIMENT was swept up into the festivities with everyone else, finally getting to meet all the members who had eluded her on her first stay. Sailes, the matriarch, was particularly interested in EXPERIMENT's journeys an insisted that she take the forefront and tell her story, getting everyone caught up on what she had seen and who she had met since her last stay here.

EXPERIMENT settled down, resting on her coils as she watched the orphans in amazement. They seemed so happy! A huge grin spread over her muzzle, and her eyes alighted in joy. The children flew past her in their game, squealing as they pulled on each other tails. A little Ridgeback was last, and she gave a pitiful cry as she struggled to catch up. Without thinking, EXPERIMENT rushed forward and scooped up the little child, flying fast until she was even with the rest of the children.
Looking down, she saw the Ridgie looking up at her with huge eyes. "HI!!" the little girl whispered with awe. At that point, EXPERIMENT noticed that she was surrounded by a swarm of staring, petting children. She gulped, not knowing quite how to handle that many hatchlings at once.
Suddenly, a loud clapping could be heard at the entrance to the lair, and all the children stopped climbing all over EXPERIMENT instantly. Looks of chagrin on their face, they turned as one to look at a bright pink Nocturne who's eyes looked much too old to belong to such a young-seeming body.
"That's enough, children!" she cried, her tiny hands on her hips as she glared good-naturedly at the hatchlings who were slinking towards her. "You know the proper way to great visitors to our home! Now, show our nice guest how we say hello."
"Yes, Piggy!" they squeaked in unison, turning to give EXPERIMENT awkward little bows and curtsies. "Welcome to the Evil Pig Fairy Hatchery!"
EXPERIMENT ended up staying for almost a week, enjoying her time immensely and getting to know all the orphans that filtered through those hallowed walls. She learned many things from the hatchlings, as well as Piggy their...well, headmistress would probably be the most accurate term.
When she finally left, she ended up with many adorable drawings to fill her journal. EXPERIMENT would have ended up with a stuffie from all of the orphans, but she managed to convince them she couldn't possibly take care of so many - so the Spiral ended up with one of each type (and a couple of the hatchlings favorite books), which she gratefully sent back home for safekeeping. She spent many times with both Antares and Aminon to study the stars and the night helping her to navigate more comfortably in the dark night in her travels. Although she didn't travel far, EXPERIMENT was no doubt tired when she reached Clan Frozen-Sea's fjord home. The tunnels that burrowed into the ice cliffs offered protection from the elements and she was welcomed with open arms by one of the patrolling knights, Sable. Seeing the chilled Arcane dragon, Sable quickly took her to the clan's Master Healer, Rose, where she was given honeyed tea and a seat to tell her story.
When all was said and done, Rose ushered Sable and EXPERIMENT along to find a warm bed to sleep in until morning. En route to the cavernous room that held all sorts of nests, hives, and beds they ran into the young knight-in-training Kamen just outside the training area who smiled pleasantly at both and offered to accompany them the rest of the way.
Once settled down, the trio talked well into the night until all three had at last fallen asleep with the soft blue light of the glowworms above them, winking in and out like starlight.

In the morning, fully rested, Sable and Kamen took to giving EXPERIMENT a full tour of the lair. The tunnels were winding and many, the two said, led nowhere at all. The biggest and closest caves were put to use, and indeed the packed snow and ice beneath their feet showed just how often dragons tread along the cavernous paths.
They took her to the training room first as it was the closest and, arguably, the most important. The room was wide and tall, the icy sides smooth and slick. The floor was dusted with gritty stones to make it easier to move around.
They were quickly joined by one of the mage's, Akantha, who waved them over to look at a colour experiement she'd been working on. The trio joined her at the back of the cave where dummies and targets gave way to tables of elixirs and the like. After asking EXPERIMENT if she would like to be a, well, experiment they took to readying for some interactive training.
"Ready?" Akantha asked. EXPERIMENT could only nod and Sable took up a notebook and quill to write down everything that happened. With a flick of her wrist, light burst around Akantha's claws...

Akantha didn't say anything, merely tilted her head and squinted. "Hmm, perhaps... But not with... I think... Just over here..." She rushed off to a comically messy table and shoved her paws in the many bound scrolls scattered across the surface. Clutching at two, she returned to EXPERIMENT's side and glanced between her and the scrolls. Finally, a smile.
"Read these," she ordered, thrusting the scrolls into EXPERIMENT's paws. Not wanting to deny the Skydancer her creative genius, EXPERIMENT read the scrolls...and felt herself begin to change.

After having slipped away from Akantha and her experiments, the group settled down to do some fun things. Sable let her join along for patrols and Kamen had her by his side when he was training. All in all, EXPERIMENT enjoyed her time with the very martial clan, but the rigorous training routines weren't really her cup of tea. So, although she felt particularly healthy by the end of the week, she was eager to continue on her journey and fly elsewhere! She'd had a gran reunion, with a feast, as always. And, of course, she got to see her second eldest son, Ashen, again. He was a librarian now, and she was extremely proud of him! She decided to leave her earrings and her tome, filled with all sorts of things she had discovered, with him. In trade he promised to give her a book he'd written and an even finer peeve of jewelry next time they saw each other.
Of course, she received many gifts as well. While watching Finche doing experiments of his own, he lent her a fine pair of goggles that he let her keep. Amethyne, who was very excited to meet Experiment (despite being disgusted at her sense of fashion) decided to design her a beautiful twilight colored sylvan style dress.

EXPERIMENT is saddling up, getting ready for her adventure! She is eager to begin on her journey. Her mother fully approves! Her father is a bit hesitant, but so would any father, would he not? Her siblings are leaving soon too, but not the same way she is. her brothers and sisters won't be traveling much if at all. She's so excited!

On her first day away from home, EXPERIMENT finds herself in an Earth lair, nestled in for the night with a new friend at one side and a soft, pretty Silver Ferret familiar at the other.Over the next few days, she plays dress-up often with the keeper of the clan's wardrobe. Once she's old enough to take good care of it, he gives her an Earthen Masque as a token to remember him by! She decides to bring it along to her next destination.
Her last night here is the eve of the Crystalline Gala. It's going to be her first holiday, and she can't wait! She travels to Harpy's Roost with team of fighters and reaches level seven as they help her gather feathers to decorate her new apparel for the upcoming parties. Though she's not experienced enough to fight much yet, they give her an Eliminate stone to aid her on future adventures.
She and her friends celebrate with loud music and a big platter of pretty, festive insects before she leaves. She's had a great time, but there's so much more out there to see!

It's a slow night, since she's tuckered out from all of the excitement of the earth lair. She takes this day (1/24/15) to recuperate and meet all of her new clan mates. She also makes friends with an interesting bear that appears to have a dubious nature. All in all, a good and restful night.
Not much went on in the plague clan, but Experiment found that she was well fed and well rested day after day! She even picked up a couple new pieces of apparel! She's ready for her next adventure in an arcane clan!

EXPERIMENT decided to take a trip to another arcane clan to breed. The first day she arrived at the clan of allysonpickles, she made many new friends. Two of her best friends were Orestes and Carpo who she battled next to in the Coliseum. She trained to level 12 on the first day and the second day she decided that it was time for her to breed. She found a leader of the clan, Galerion, and decided that he would be the perfect dragon to mate with.
EXPERIMENT trained daily and made it to level 19. On Feb. 12 she gave birth to 3 beautiful babies - 2 boys and 1 girl!! She decided it was time for her to begin traveling again.

EXPERIMENT made a stop at another Arcane clan, bringing her daughter TEST with her. While staying with Clan Stellazzio, a pesky Fallbrush Fraud caught her Timber Tender familiar in a trap and took its place, going unnoticed for the majority of her time there.
Having caught the eye of resident Arcanist fanatic Thesis, she was taught how to mentor dragons chosen for exaltation and received a Starseer's Emblem for her service upon reaching Level 25. She was also given a magical scroll from Thesis's hoard, which gave her beautiful smoke-like markings when she read it.
EXPERIMENT was also a favorite of Prose and Summer, who gave her a flowery friendship bracelet to keep with her during her travels. Prose also gave her one of her infamous makeovers, painting pretty black and white designs all over her. Summer taught her how to make cute fashion accessories out of the remains of her enemies, and she proudly wears the skull of a particularly troublesome Blackwing Croaker she had slain in The Mire while training exaltees.
On her last day with the clan, her familiar's doppelganger revealed its true nature, stealing all of EXPERIMENT's belongings and tying her into a knot. It nearly got away, but Windstar, Sylph, and Breeze managed to catch it in time, interrogating it until it told them where it was hiding her true familiar. The mischievous trio freed EXPERIMENT's familiar and returned all her belongings, becoming good friends with the spiral on her last day there. With the assistance of Summer, the evil familiar was sealed away, hopefully never to cause EXPERIMENT any trouble ever again.

As a parting gift, her daughter TEST gave her a satchel to help her carry her supplies on her journey across Sornieth. TEST promises she'll write and hopes they'll meet again!

EXPERIMENT was lucky enough to come to the the Tangled Wood in time for the Trickmurk Circus. She was taken in by a lively group of dragons that called themselves the Foxfyre pack. There was a huge mixing of different types of dragons, from the mysterious mist swirling pack founder Kaida, the sharply sweet Upala, or even the bright princely Flavus. The festival had them even more pumped and excited than usual, causing them to smother her with attention and invitiations to different events through out the Tangled Woods.
Most of her time was spent exploring the Ghostlight Ruins, an area teeming with all manner of Ghostly Horrors. During one of the fights against a Disoriented Spirit, EXPERIMENT was severely injured on her leg. Though the clan Doctor, Bashir, worked quickly and was able to give her full mobility of the leg again she still bore a scar from the attack.
She spent a good deal of her time hanging out with the clan magician, Freida. Freida was a Spiral like EXPERIMENT who wowed the masses with her amazing mana-less magic. The machines she used to achieve this fascinated EXPERIMENT, her innate Arcane curiosity making her obsessed with how they worked. Freida ran several shows using EXPERIMENT as her helper, but she never fully revealed her secrets to her.
EXPERIMENT greatly enjoyed her time there, and was thrilled when she was given an open invitation to come back. Perhaps she would someday, but it wouldn't be for a long time yet.

As EXPERIMENT and her new guide set off across Arcane territory, they took a route through the Starwood Strand. Several hours into their journey they noticed a sort of anomaly; the mountains they thought they had been traveling away from seemed to be getting closer. Around sunset they bumped into Ula, who was lost and had seen a similar mirage. EXPERIMENT insisted she tag along, worried that Ula might get yet more lost on her own, and promised that if they got their bearings she would help her find her way onward. The two hit it off quickly and were both somewhat relieved to have a friend to fill the long hours of traveling with.
Just around dusk, as the leaves and flowers in the Starwood began to glow, a lantern appeared on the path ahead; slowly taking form from the shadows as the light neared, a regal-looking imperial sauntered up to the travelers and politely offered to guide them to a safe place to sleep, citing her home clan as a haven for the weary. They took to a leisurely pace on foot, as the clan was nearby, and the forest was too thick to fly through here. As soon as they were acquainted, EXPERIMENT was eager to ask the imperial about the mountain. Toxy gave her a curious smile before taking responsibility. She explained that her clan's territory has a higher concentration of mages and witches; the unusual amounts of magic seems to excite the Arcane energies in the surrounding landscape, and travelers often see strange sights once they find themselves here. She added that, despite that, no traveler finds it who wasn't meant to find it. She has expressed great interest in what EXPERIMENT might learn here on her stay.
Throughout the week, EXPERIMENT was greeted warmly by each of the clan's prominent members in turn, all of whom wanted to befriend her and teach her new things. One taught her about blending teas for all sorts of ailments from commonly foraged items. Rooibos showed her the clan's constellations and explained their astrology system. Solace taught her a way to make pigments and inks when traveling and certain ingredients are scarce.
Unfortunately, EXPERIMENT's stay here was at a time when the clan was busier than anticipated with preparations for spring, and not everyone was able to meet with her. However, the clan invited her to come back and visit any time, sending her off with two enchanted deity puppets to protect her on her travels.

First she wondered how all those different dragons could even live together: The leader, Yerna, is a peaceful, motherly Guardian who doesn't want to harm even the tiniest creature but there's also a huge group of warriors who follow the lead of Stryves, a rough Guardian lady who is also one of the Commanders.
At the first evening Yerna and Serenity, the clan's florist and Priestess of Wind, began to hold a speech for the clan's celebrations for the Mistral Jamboree. EXPERIMENT was introduced to the clan and invited to be part of the festivities. Later that evening she met Diamond, a very good-looking and charming Imperial and they both decided to mate.
EXPERIMENT also went to fight the beastclans at the Harpy's Roost with the clan's commanders Stryves and Morrcahn a few times. She had a lot of fun and the members of the Clan of Visions gave her a Teardrop Pastel Spinel Choker to remember the good time she had with them.

However, the longer she stayed, the more she began to notice that some of the dragons of the clan were just a little odd but it seemed rude to pry since they had been so kind towards her and so she decided against it.

After travelling some distance from her previous clan, she found herself greeted by a strange Pearlcatcher in a black hood. After determining the stranger was not a threat, the Pearlcatcher led EXPERIMENT to a small clan living within the Rotrock Rim. The other dragons seemed wary of EXPERIMENT at first and kept their distance, almost as if afraid of the stranger.
Despite this, EXPERIMENT took an almost immediate liking to Demari, the dragon who had led her here. Demari seemed to take pity on the Spiral and essentially began forcing other dragons to like her...regardless of whether they wanted to or not. Her tactics seemed to work on the clan's elder Prophet, however, with whom she laid two eggs with; two male Faes.
After spending a week in the Unknown's care, EXPERIMENT managed to worm her way into the hearts of the clan...well, most of the clan at least. She was given some jewelry from Demari as a parting gift before taking off towards her new destination.

Upon leaving the Plague lands, she saw in the distance the familiar shining crystals of her home Flight. Upon a little thought, she decided that a trip home would be good. It was a short flight back to the Starwings, and she was greeted instantly with many tears of joy from her mother and lots of hugs from nearly everyone else.
She got there just in time for the Greenskeeper gathering, and they celebrated with a large feast both for her return and for the festival. To her dismay, her mother fussed over her the whole time, doting over her leg scar and asking her repeatedly if there was anything she needed and if she was okay.
Finally she managed to slip off, and decided to go out with Cenn and Sandfall to celebrate the Gathering with some fun Coliseum training. They were surprised to find that not only did Experiment surpass them, she kicked their butts in a major way. Cenn was proud, and spoke highly of her success.
She was sad to be informed that her father had been exalted, and that her grandfather was supposed to be leaving soon. But she didn't let it bring her down. It was hard to be sad when nearly everyone in the clan was bragging her with gifts and praise and welcome hearts. She turned down most of it, save a bag to carry things in, and a soft knit scarf to keep her warm on her trips to colder lands.
She stayed for a week, finally deciding it was time to go at the end of the Greenskeeper Gathering. Her mother was sad to see her go, but she understood, and (Feeling a little bit better after learning how well EXPERIMENT could fight) let her go.

Though she was excited to continue her journey, EXPERIMENT couldn't help feeling a little homesick as she departed from the lair where she hatched. She caught sight of the sandy cliffs and peaks of Dragonhome in the distance, and she decided she might feel better if she stopped in to see the first clan she'd ever visited.
The early summer sun was terribly hot in this part of the realm, so she flew along the shore, coasting comfortably on the cool sea breeze. But before long, she caught sight of a ship decorated with Earth flight banners and flags. The Pearlcatcher on deck gave a cheerful wave and beckoned her over.
As luck would have it, he lived with the clan she was seeking! He was a treasure hunter who explored sunken ships in search of riches, which EXPERIMENT thought was an adventurous and rather romantic profession. He promised to let her tag along on an expedition someday, but for the moment, he had to get home. He'd just heard that the Arcane flight was vying for dominance, and his clan had decided to send forces in their support.
Now, that was a good cause EXPERIMENT could get behind. When the ship docked and she disembarked, she barely had time to greet her old friends before the chief combat trainer began sizing her up. The battle-scarred Mirror soldier was impressed at how strong EXPERIMENT had become, and before she even knew what was happening, she found herself wading through the hot, swampy Mire, equipped with new combat stones and ready to train two young fighters in service of the Arcanist.
After an exhilarating day of training, she settled down in the cool shade of the lair to share the food she'd gathered and swap tales of adventure with Oceansong, her new Pearlcatcher friend. The following days were calmer, slower-paced, as she'd come to expect from Earth clans. She let the wardrobe keeper have a look at all her new clothes, was given a cute Earthshaker doll by a young dragon whose corner of the lair was filled with plush toys, and even nested with Oceansong and had two beautiful Pearlcatcher daughters with gorgeous warm brown eyes.
She stayed perhaps longer than she should've, enjoying days full of fighting and lazy nights of friendly chatter and good food, but as always, new horizons beckoned. Before leaving, she promised Oceansong that she'd return to hunt for treasure at his side someday!

As EXPERIMENT continued her journeys, she found herself near the shores of the great sea. Curiosity would have her fly deeper into the horizon, furthering herself from the safety of the shores. After a distance or so, EXPERIMENT soon find herself encountering a rather large Maren scouting close to the surface of the water. It wasn't until this creature breached the surface of the water, surprising her in the process, did she become aware that she was actually a rather wet imperial. Aluino, the dragon in question, apologized profusely for startling EXPERIMENT and invited her to her clan to make amends. EXPERIMENT didn't think amends were necessary, but she would be lying if the thought of adventuring into a water clan didn't sound enticing.
The small clan welcomed EXPERIMENT as if she were one of their own. The clan matriarch's son Meryth and his mate Sumos, minstrels, serenaded to EXPERIMENT showing their warm welcome to her.
On the third day of being thoroughly water logged, EXPERIMENT was invited on a particularly daring adventure. The resident ex-assassin, er-diver, invited her to accompany him and his mate to go diving into the depths of the Leviathan Trench. The other clan members assured EXPERIMENT that this was their daily job and to not worry about what lurks beneath while in their company. Along the way down, EXPERIMENT did meet a very friendly Megashrimp that followed her around, even to the darkness of the trench. Her guides looked on fondly at the scene of her whirling around her new companion.
After nearly an entire days work of digging up relics in near pitch darkness, EXPERIMENT was ready to call it in for the night. EXPERIMENT stuffed herself with all the food from their insane food storage that her body can handle. (Seriously for a small clan why so much food stored? What are they expecting a drought? They live in water!) She lazed the day away listening to the water dragons and their visions of the future.
On her final day with this clan, they did nothing more but fret over her asking if she has enough food for her next journey, if she packed all her belongings, if she had a plan, if she was well rested. EXPERIMENT laughed that this whole clan practically acted like one big worried parent. She warmed up to Aluino very much during her time there, after all this was the big overgrown maren that invited her here. So Aluino gave EXPERIMENT a tidelord doll to remember her time under the currents. And to let her know she would always be welcomed back.

EXPERIMENT came to the clan of Whirling Wildthyme along with a massive storm. Soaked and buffeted, she honed in on the vast roofed patio of the main greenhouse, landing in a heap of wet wings and apparel. Her landbound familiars who were too large for her to carry were a little way off still, but she was welcomed by two others of our clan. The first one, Autumna – Ypsilon's gigantic harvest floracat who is always the first to welcome strangers – tried to lick EXPERIMENT dry for a few minutes before the dragons on the clan realised that their guest had arrived and ushered the cat off. The second one was a fallen streak who felt lonely because another one of its kind had already been awakened within the clan, so she joined EXPERIMENT for the duration of her stay and beyond.
Clan leader Yynx, council head Ypsilon, and self-appointed chief diplomatics officer exuberant one-dragon welcoming party Yildiz lead her to the mess hall where she was well fed and dried off rapidly. Yildiz also lent her a cloak like her own but of a different colour, saying it went well with EXPERIMENT's wings.
Yun the Ruins Raider had been off training exaltlings since her arrival, but once he came home they decided to try on the Kelp beds together. They'd heard of other clans finding pink silks there, which sounded appealing! They didn't actually find any, though, but EXPERIMENT got to help train some other "temporary visitors". She also tried to help Yuina and Yuna decipher some mysterious parchments, but they didn't get very far...
When she got restless and decided it was time for her to travel on to the next lair, Yildiz let her keep the cape. Dayna, keeper of all things soft, gave her another doll for her collection, the flamecaller. With how big her collection has gotten, she had to send some with courier ahead of her to her next stop...

EXPERIMENT traveled out into the Shifting Expanse, where Clan Auctimian waited for her. Her doll collection was already dusted off, and a Stormcatcher doll seemed to have found its way in.
The clan was quite busy expanding into a Might Lair, and their best fighters hadn't yet mastered any place stronger than the Bamboo Falls, so she volunteered to help train Charcoal, the leader of the Coliseum team, and the interns passing through. The familiar Mire was a new place to the imperial, and EXPERIMENT enjoyed seeing her learn to take down psywurms and podids.
Her name, she found, was a hit in Lightning, with constant questions to its origin, and an imperial named Leif became quite interested in her. They hatched a nest of three potential Interns together.
On her last day, as she was packing, a Blueband Duelist was found in the doll collection, fiercely cuddling the Tidelord doll. EXPERIMENT decided to take it with her, as its hands couldn't be pried free of the toy. She signed the eight forms required by the Assistants of the Spire, narrowly avoiding a trap built of triplicate forms, and sent her things ahead once again....

Late at night a Spiral was found near the border of a wind tribe. The female dragon was heavily burdened with a large luggage and strayed the Windswept Plateau, trammelled by the pretty hard winds of the last days. It took her around four days to get from the Shifting Expanse to the Twisting Crescendo where EXPERIMENT was finally able to check in at the Humming Chimes Inn of Clan Àidhear.
The innkeeper Deoch eased her inside and got the Spiral something to warm her up as well as a cave to sleep in. The next morning EXPERIMENT awoke refreshed and eager to get to know the family she's currently staying with. As soon as the hatchlings got wind of another traveler being within the clan, the Spiral was soon busy answering all their questions about her adventures, as well as the flights and families she'd visited. Soon the Wispering Hall was filled with an attentive audience, young and old, and EXPERIMENT quite enjoyed the role as storyteller; but eventually her voice grew tired of it and the Spiral was quite grateful when Deoch saved her from all the attention.
After the commotion of the first day, EXPERIMENT could spend some relaxing days at Clan Àidhear and was able to meet all kind of characters and personalities. Then Deoch noticed the travelers big and heavy luggage. During various conversation she told him about the troubles she had lately to get from one lair to another, the delay in departure it causes and about her fears of loosing all her collected belongings. So, he offered the traveler the services of the clan's trusted couriers to send part of it home to her own family and EXPERIMENT gladly took the offer.

And then, EXPERIMENT said her goodbyes and thanks to everyone, setting set off again. All her new friends wished her save and exciting travels.

EXPERIMENT had a very fun time catching up with her daughter TEST and sharing stories from each others' journeys. They kept their discussions private and top secret, so the exact details of their stories (including the exact degree of how much they may or may not have been exaggerating) are unknown.
She also got involved in some "harmless" pranks with her friends Sylph, Breeze, and Windstar, but we won't get into those messy details. After a week of fun and mischief, she's off again for more adventures.

EXPERIMENT came once again to rest with the Fox Fyre pack, for all most two months. In general her time there was very peaceful, barring the sudden outbreak of cats. That was a confusing few hours. The biggest events she celebrated were the Lightning and the Fire Festival. It was fun going hunting with the rest of the pack for items for the festival. She even got some cool socks. All in all she had a great time with no real worries to have to deal with.

On her way to visit the Arcana for the second time, EXPERIMENT and her companions recalled their last visit, carefully retracing their steps through the spelled Starwood maze that leads to the clan's common grounds. She was a little surprised to have gotten several hours into her trek without having been met by Toxy, the clan's infamous greeter, who always came to guide travelers down this path; but as she drew closer, she noticed a scented smoke on the breeze and knew something terribly interesting must be afoot. The clan here used their ever-burning bonfire as a means of communicating, scenting or dyeing the smoke with herbs and minerals to indicate certain events. She didn't know what this almost candy-like scent could mean, but it was certainly something good.
Sure enough, Toxy's great shadow eventually appeared above the treetops. She apologized profusely for her tardiness, but EXPERIMENT was more than understanding and very curious to know what was going on that would make the ever-loyal Imperial forget her duties. She explained that EXPERIMENT had returned to visit on the very same day that the clan's erstwhile progenitors, Sailes and Wiztix, had returned after years of absence spent in the service of the Arcanist; they were gone for so many generations that most of the clan had also never met them, but all were thrilled by their sudden homecoming.
To celebrate, the Arcana threw an enormous party that lasted the entire week, complete with constant feasting and music, and every member of the clan had the chance to showcase their talents and creations, from art and spellwork to teas and architecture. They were all in immensely high spirits and EXPERIMENT was swept up into the festivities with everyone else, finally getting to meet all the members who had eluded her on her first stay. Sailes, the matriarch, was particularly interested in EXPERIMENT's journeys an insisted that she take the forefront and tell her story, getting everyone caught up on what she had seen and who she had met since her last stay here.
On the first evening, her and Rigel, one of the clan's best fighters, lay a nest together, hatching a single egg - a daughter - in celebration of the joyous occasion. Two of the clans' prominent members also presented her with a small gift each; Cybele, the Nature representative, gave EXPERIMENT a Gladekeeper doll to help her complete her collection, and the clan's librarian, Solace, presented her with a beautiful hand-bound journal, complete with a sturdy leather carrying strap, to keep a record of her wonderful journeys and all the stories she would collect on the way.

On her last day, the Arcana once again gathered in the common grounds to wish EXPERIMENT a safe journey and to thank her for being able to visit during such an important occasion, sending her off with a full belly, ample room for her new journal, and many hugs. They insisted once more that she would always be welcome here whenever she pleased, and hoped that one day she might return again so that Solace could produce a copy of EXPERIMENT's story for their own library's collection to inspire future generations of explorers as well as her new daughter.
(Gladeskeeper doll was sent home for safekeeping; we also bought her a new apparel slot for her journal so she could keep it with her as she travels, if she so pleases!)

Following the noise of raucous, giggling children, EXPERIMENT found herself alighting in an ancient lair, deep within the recesses of the Forum of the Obscured Crescent. She was once again in the domain of Shadow, but what a strange thing to find at its heart! A rickety-seeming lair, covered in bright ribbons and the drawings created by many tiny clawed hands. A swarm of hatchlings flowed across the meadow, giggling as they played some unknowable game. Skydancers, Faes, Imperials, and many others - all playing together, their hides blazing in bright colors. It was obvious these hatchlings didn't all come from the same families.
EXPERIMENT settled down, resting on her coils as she watched the orphans in amazement. They seemed so happy! A huge grin spread over her muzzle, and her eyes alighted in joy. The children flew past her in their game, squealing as they pulled on each other tails. A little Ridgeback was last, and she gave a pitiful cry as she struggled to catch up. Without thinking, EXPERIMENT rushed forward and scooped up the little child, flying fast until she was even with the rest of the children.
Looking down, she saw the Ridgie looking up at her with huge eyes. "HI!!" the little girl whispered with awe. At that point, EXPERIMENT noticed that she was surrounded by a swarm of staring, petting children. She gulped, not knowing quite how to handle that many hatchlings at once.
Suddenly, a loud clapping could be heard at the entrance to the lair, and all the children stopped climbing all over EXPERIMENT instantly. Looks of chagrin on their face, they turned as one to look at a bright pink Nocturne who's eyes looked much too old to belong to such a young-seeming body.
"That's enough, children!" she cried, her tiny hands on her hips as she glared good-naturedly at the hatchlings who were slinking towards her. "You know the proper way to great visitors to our home! Now, show our nice guest how we say hello."
"Yes, Piggy!" they squeaked in unison, turning to give EXPERIMENT awkward little bows and curtsies. "Welcome to the Evil Pig Fairy Hatchery!"
EXPERIMENT ended up staying for almost a week, enjoying her time immensely and getting to know all the orphans that filtered through those hallowed walls. She learned many things from the hatchlings, as well as Piggy their...well, headmistress would probably be the most accurate term.
When she finally left, she ended up with many adorable drawings to fill her journal. EXPERIMENT would have ended up with a stuffie from all of the orphans, but she managed to convince them she couldn't possibly take care of so many - so the Spiral ended up with one of each type (and a couple of the hatchlings favorite books), which she gratefully sent back home for safekeeping.

I finally arrived at the Snowstorm clan. The lair may be small and poor, but they're a group of proud and hardy dragons. There do not seem to be any young dragons at the time I've visited. The clan doesn't have a lot of warriors and hunters, so I decided to teach them how to fight. A bit, just for fun. Some absurd results occured. But a guardian, Tora, really caught my eye by her willingness to learn. She's truly an amazing lass! I gladly picked up a conversation to know her better. Tora told me the clan already had some experiences with travelling dragons before. How interesting!

As promised EXPERIMENT came back to visit the small clan beneath the waves. She rekindled friendships with all those she met before and was surprised to find that there were new members in the clan as well. Aluino welcomed her back with the most excitement. She could rest a bit at the Whispering Eyes clan whom welcomed her warmly while she was passing by. Followed by a dream she had, Vidvas with pleasure waved it into reality for her making her shed her old skin to regain something better, something more unique to suit her likes.
She spent many times with both Antares and Aminon to study the stars and the night helping her to navigate more comfortably in the dark night in her travels. When the time came, Seidhr accompanied her for a while leading her on the safest route so she could take her flight to continue with her journey.

Although she didn't travel far, EXPERIMENT was no doubt tired when she reached Clan Frozen-Sea's fjord home. The tunnels that burrowed into the ice cliffs offered protection from the elements and she was welcomed with open arms by one of the patrolling knights, Sable. Seeing the chilled Arcane dragon, Sable quickly took her to the clan's Master Healer, Rose, where she was given honeyed tea and a seat to tell her story.
When all was said and done, Rose ushered Sable and EXPERIMENT along to find a warm bed to sleep in until morning. En route to the cavernous room that held all sorts of nests, hives, and beds they ran into the young knight-in-training Kamen just outside the training area who smiled pleasantly at both and offered to accompany them the rest of the way.
Once settled down, the trio talked well into the night until all three had at last fallen asleep with the soft blue light of the glowworms above them, winking in and out like starlight.

In the morning, fully rested, Sable and Kamen took to giving EXPERIMENT a full tour of the lair. The tunnels were winding and many, the two said, led nowhere at all. The biggest and closest caves were put to use, and indeed the packed snow and ice beneath their feet showed just how often dragons tread along the cavernous paths.
They took her to the training room first as it was the closest and, arguably, the most important. The room was wide and tall, the icy sides smooth and slick. The floor was dusted with gritty stones to make it easier to move around.
They were quickly joined by one of the mage's, Akantha, who waved them over to look at a colour experiement she'd been working on. The trio joined her at the back of the cave where dummies and targets gave way to tables of elixirs and the like. After asking EXPERIMENT if she would like to be a, well, experiment they took to readying for some interactive training.
"Ready?" Akantha asked. EXPERIMENT could only nod and Sable took up a notebook and quill to write down everything that happened. With a flick of her wrist, light burst around Akantha's claws...
Trial 1: Teal/Blush/Sanddollar | Akantha made a face. "Well...it's not bad." She glanced at Sable who only shook her head. "No? Okay..." Trial 2: Smoke/Teal/Clay | "Oh. Oh, no. Definitely not." Akantha flicked her wrist once more. Trial 3: Oilslick/Azure/Sunshine | Kamen snorted so hard he choked. Scowling at him, Akantha gave another shock of magic. Trial 4: Tan/Taupe/Blood | "If you wanted her looking like the Shade had a child, you succeeded." Sable squinted at EXPERIMENT, looking both sheepish and like she was trying not to laugh. Trial 5: Fire/Black/Blood | "By the Icewarden, no," Kamen said, waving away the colours as if he could rid them of it all. Grumbling, Akantha tried again. Trial 6: Nightshade/Mint/Runes
Akantha didn't say anything, merely tilted her head and squinted. "Hmm, perhaps... But not with... I think... Just over here..." She rushed off to a comically messy table and shoved her paws in the many bound scrolls scattered across the surface. Clutching at two, she returned to EXPERIMENT's side and glanced between her and the scrolls. Finally, a smile.
"Read these," she ordered, thrusting the scrolls into EXPERIMENT's paws. Not wanting to deny the Skydancer her creative genius, EXPERIMENT read the scrolls...and felt herself begin to change.
"Perfect!" Akantha crooned, pleased as a kitten. She clasped her claws together, then turned her emerald eyes to the other two. "Do you want to try now?"

After having slipped away from Akantha and her experiments, the group settled down to do some fun things. Sable let her join along for patrols and Kamen had her by his side when he was training. All in all, EXPERIMENT enjoyed her time with the very martial clan, but the rigorous training routines weren't really her cup of tea. So, although she felt particularly healthy by the end of the week, she was eager to continue on her journey and fly elsewhere! Accompanied by one of Akantha's scholarly familiars ("For trusting me right off the bat, darling."), she set off for new horizons.

Experiment had spent too long here. She'd missed her home, and in the thrall, had ended up staying much, much longer than she had expected. Mostly, it was rest. Traveling was amazing- great, thrilling even! But even she grew weary.
She'd had a gran reunion, with a feast, as always. And, of course, she got to see her second eldest son, Ashen, again. He was a librarian now, and she was extremely proud of him! She decided to leave her earrings and her tome, filled with all sorts of things she had discovered, with him. In trade he promised to give her a book he'd written and an even finer peeve of jewelry next time they saw each other.
Of course, she received many gifts as well. While watching Finche doing experiments of his own, he lent her a fine pair of goggles that he let her keep. Cortinarius gave her a fine wool coat to keep her warm during the ice festival, along with a scarf and snow pick from Snowblind. Amethyne, who was very excited to meet Experiment (despite being disgusted at her sense of fashion) decided to design her a beautiful twilight colored sylvan style dress.
The nearly half year she spent with the Starwings was more than enough for her, however, and despite loving meeting al her new family members, knew it was finally time to leave. So, off she went, determined this time to find some fun in the Tangled wood- it'd simply been too long
