okay so i say ic, but i've written like 99% of their lore already. i'm trying to figure out how much of a priority i should make it to get their thread running.
they're called venomspitters! the basic idea is that they originated in nature, but eventually spread out - their name coming from their unique ability to absorb poison from other organisms and store it in their own bodies, which they developed in order to help them survive in the depths of the jungle.
the white/white variant usually uses this ability on dragons, so it's sort of 'unpoisoning' them. they're the healer type and put others' survival before their own. the obs/obs variant, on the other hand, is mainly made up of hunters, who use their venom to ensure a kill. both are spread out about evenly, but some have certain areas where they're more common. (although i should stress that this is an all-flight and all-breed subspecies!)
the ones with crackle are the 'leaking' variant, which occurs in both colors - they can still absorb poison, but they can't store it very well, hence the leaking. because of that, they are commonly outcast.
so, that's the summary, pretty much! would anyone be interested, and if so, would anyone like a ping when the thread goes up?

- tertiary can be either smirch (regular) or crackle (leaking)
