ampere here is a lovely trans guy who is just trying 2 convince his not-technologically-savvy clan[s] full of aliens and questionable characters[/s] to let him wire the whole place to have electricity and then getting sad bc they say no. he has a whole cave hooked up to things like grills (for clan chef), computers (for an ai-based dragon), and of course absurd things like microwaves so he can experiment with throwing CDs and marshmallows in at the same time and seeing what happens at 85% power for 61seconds.

aphrodite here is the clans potionsmaster aka the gorgeous trans lady alchemist who brews things better than the rest of her clan combined! she has recipes for potions of questionable legality (potions of love are the biggest thing, hence the name) and actually wound up in the clan after arranging to have her death faked because she crossed one too many dragons on the underground market and they dislike her.

candor is 1000% an unconventional scientist masquarading as a ~researcher~
he's a descendant of naomi (link [url=http://www1.flightrising.com/forums/baz/2035280#post_23789012]here [/url]to more info on that) so he's got a [i]shady [/i]background [s]hehehehe[/s] but rlly on a personal level he's just a fae who comes off as a stereotypical fae despite being very emotion (esp around his partner, ezekiel, bunch of gay trans cinnamon rolls who are [i]deeply [/i]enamored with one another and very [i]very [/i]happy together <3). he helps runs experiments pertaining to pendulum's clan lore tho the exact details are not known to majority of clan residents.

[b]caeda[/b], random progen and co-founder of my clan, pretty much runs the entire thing's science department. there aren't very many of them there, but that makes them all the more close to each other! caeda, in particular, is very protective of them - the wildclaw khatorl, for example, is almost like a younger sister to her.
she's dabbled in all kinds of science; in her spare time, alchemy is quite a nice thing for her to do, but her preferences lie with the mechanical: though she was born in the sunbeam ruins with no knowledge of her ancestry, she's sure there must've been some lightning dragons in there.

[b]imaginary[/b] is part of my original venomspitter subspecies! and true to their lore, they have the capability to extract and absorb poison from pretty much anything - an ability imaginary uses, too. although they mainly use this to heal those dragons who have had an unfortunate encounter with, say, a snake or something similar, they also like to keep those poisons and figure out how to brew with them.
no one really knows they're doing this, though, and nobody knows of their presence in the clan: they're elusive, to the point where some may believe them - you guessed it - a figment of their imagination. but until they make an amazing breakthrough, they'll stay in the shadows a little longer.

[b]mechonis[/b] certainly is on the less stable end of the scientist spectrum. found as a young, frail nocturne hatchling, he's worked in the copper order for a long time - but a complex developed over his weakness made his work take a turn for the worse.
it wasn't long until he began to apply all the research he'd done to himself, and in spite of warnings from the rest of his order, he ended up going through with all of it. now, he might be stronger, like he'd hoped - but with a dragon like he is now, more metal than flesh, there is really no telling.
