It's just not attractive to me. I've never really seen a dragon that I thought it looked good on. I mean, I've liked dragons with Opal, but basically 100% of the time, I've thought something other than Opal would look better. Like. Usually anything other than Opal would look better in my eyes.
So. Prove me wrong? Tell me what you like about Opal/show me your Opal kids.
I kind of want an opal dragon at some point. :/ But I won't get one if I don't like them.

i actually kinda agree-- like i love opal in theory but in practice it is kind of harder to work with?? but maudlin kills it, compliments her skink/spin perfectly

To be honest Opal is one of my favourite genes just because it looks so good when done right, I love Feirin with it though I appreciate he isn’t for everyone he is one of my absolute favourite dragons

Personally I don't like it that much either, but when it is XXY then it just makes it look like a paint war....you know what happens when you let teenagers paint your house... they get covered in wet paint...that is what Opal says to me.
My son says they are shedding their skin very itchy...

Opal is maybe my favourite tertiary? Perhaps tied with stained. It's so nice. It's balanced, it adds some shine without being really garish or overpowering, and it's so fun to work with the accent colours in it.
