For Death is certain, but Life is too. Where one ends, the other begins. But somehow, they met somewhere in the middle to create this. Death Walkers are dragons brought back to life. Their wings lost all skin, revealing the muscles and blood vessels underneath. Their body started deteriorating, leaving a green rot in its wake. Bones protrude from their spines, sticking out in all directions, creaking at every movement. Why some are resurrected and others not, is unknown. Since most dragons can't remember their past, it is difficult to figure out if it might have been something in their past life or their way of death. Purebloods:
They are partly resurrected, neither death nor alive, and lost all memories from their past life in the process. They can't be killed, and this seems to be caused by the lack of a soul. For some unknown reason - probably because of their undead state - they seem to have a natural pull to wandering souls, mainly malevolent ones.

In general, Death Walkers are quite docile, but their demeanour can change to aggressive without any real indication. They can be clever and cunning, and more patient than one can imagine. They prefer to flesh of living dragons, but they will settle for some fresh meat or fish if they have to.

Although they prefer a solitaire life, they sometimes group up with a clan. They don't tend to stay for too long, for their aggressive behaviour and unnatural appetite can cause quite some tension in a clan. One big exception is the S.H.I., however. Because of their natural attraction to and pull towards souls, they are often welcomed to stay with a group of members to help out. And in some cases, this can grow into a beneficial alliance for both sides.

Some lucky Death Walkers find themselves a mate, and they will dedicate themselves completely to them. In most cases, this will be another Death Walker or undead dragon. However, on rare occasions, they'll find love within a normal dragon. Unfortunately, because of the undead state of the Death Walker, a relationship with the latter almost always ends in pain for both parties involved. When a Pureblood Death Walker mates, its eggs will have a yellowish tint. It is soon apparent there's no life inside the eggs, and they are buried deep beneath the surface. After some time has passed - this can be a few days to a few months - the once-dead hatchlings will reappear from beneath the dirt as resurrected Purebloods, just like their parents.


Fadelings:
Fadelings are quite different from Purebloods. They look almost the same, but have a wider variety of colors and patterns. They are also resurrected with part of another soul which is not their own. This causes them to lose all of their own memories, but they tend to keep habits and mannerisms of the dragon's soul they are bound to. Since Fadelings are resurrected with part of a soul, they can be killed - unlike Purebloods.

Fadelings are forgetful, and always seem to be in a state of confusion. This is probably because of the random surges of past memory from the other soul they were resurrected with. This does not mean they remember their past life - it is mainly mannerism and habits they still remember. They can be quite clumsy, and it looks like they never get used to their new body. They are often kind and try their best to not scare others away because of their looks. Unfortunately for them, they mostly fail.

It appears they often keep the feeding habits of their past dragon's soul. This can cause Coatls to eat flowers, Snappers to eat meat, etc.

Just like a Pureblood, when a Fadeling mates, its eggs will have a yellowish tint. The parents will soon sense there's no life inside the eggs, but they won't bury them. Instead, they will care for the eggs as if they were still alive for as long as needed, which can be a few days to a few months. After an unknown amount of time, the eggs will break and reveal new Fadelings. Most Fadeling hatchlings will be resurrected with part of a deceased hatchling's soul, and will inherit some of their traits.
Sometimes, a Pureblood can be hatched by two Fadelings. How this is possible is still unknown, and it is very rare.

Because of their connection, attraction, and pull towards souls, Death Walkers can be very helpful for the S.H.I. When both sides manage to put aside their differences, working together can be quite beneficial and will often work out great.
