The Skysplitter

DESCRIPTION: Entity 12, also more commonly known as Skysplitter, is a highly evolved dragonoid organism whose heritage derives similarly from that of the famous 11 deities of Sorenith. Having no clear origins, it is believed that Entity 12 is a sub-breed of these powerful dragon gods. With obvious hybrid characteristics such as webbed fins for spines, wyvern-like phalanges, and shortened, Pearlcatcher-like feelers, Entity 12’s true genetic make-up has yet to be understood.

Due to the disappearance of Entity 12 ever since he had been unleashed from his accidental imprisonment deep within the ice of the Southern Icefields many millennia ago, no one has been able to pinpoint his whereabouts. Like all deities known to Sorenith, dragon gods are elusive and extremely well at maintaining their unknown backgrounds. Entity 12 is an even harder premise to locate since he possesses no real “elemental realm” compared to that of the other deities.

Believed to have been a permanent sky soaring dragon, the only possible times researchers believed he landed was when his wings grew weak at the end of each year. Only segregating himself to the top of the tallest structures scattered around Sorenith, he never sets foot onto the ground below. It is these locations where the Chillspoken decided to take root. Building camps and even cities atop the peaks of the highest mountains, volcanoes, rocky spires, and even the treetops of the Behemoth itself, it is here where these dragons watch the world. Much more hardy than the average dragon, these dragons have adapted to withstand the constant chill of high altitude environments- especially in the Southern Icefields- as well as the quickened need for wingbeats due to the thinning of oxygen. The most common location for these clans reside is in the Ice realm, which is said to be the home of the Skysplitter’s imprisonment, however clans can develop all across the world. Their tertiaries consist of large, slow-growing growths that take the form of a glossy sheen. Like all clans, a population census is normally kept in contact with all leaders to maintain an organized sense of security. Not only does it allow others to see who is a member of their team(s), but it allows other colonies from all walks of life to understand and acknowledge who are their allies and who are potential enemies.
