Imperials were born from the shed essence of the Lightweaver in a past age; divine ichor, marred by war and shade. In some dragons this lineage comes through strongly, the godly essence still true despite the years and generations.For good or ill the god-blooded tend to be strong of will and claw, and noticed by destiny.
God-blooded in tune with their divine essence will see through all lies and deceptions, the light leaving only truth. They will be marked with glittering runes, of words with personal meaning to them. These phrases will change as they grow and learn, a reflection of the dragon’s own ideals. There have been no known cases of one of these legacies dying of old age due to the strong divine essence combined with a more warlike bent than their fellow dragons.
The dragons who cannot integrate the divine essence will instead isolate the ichor, manifesting the capsule gene. This can happen for many reasons, perhaps their dose of divine ichor is too strong, and they risk burning themselves away if it flowed freely beneath their skin. Maybe the blood of the Lightweaver has been too corrupted by the battle and the years. Or it maybe a sign that dragons are too tainted by war and lies for the divine essence to accept them.

These dragons are strong willed, and tend to have a notable dislike of liars. Despite this they tend to be social dragons, finding enjoyment in exchanging words and ideas with their fellows. An honest opponent will be held in higher esteem than an untrustworthy ally. Their nature is torn between divine grace and deep corruption, so they may be either heroic or monstrous.

Born of war and divine bloodshed, violence echos in their nature. Even the kindest of the god-blooded will still have the willingness to take to the battlefield if need rises. Still violence is the first resort only of those whose taint is stronger than their grace.

The name of the variant is an obvious connection to it’s defining trait, wings covered in stars, and a web of light. Astute observers might notice that the wings are dark between the lines, darker than the golds of an equivalently coloured wing not so marked. More astute observers might not that sometimes the swirls of darkness seem to move beneath the wings.
All of the god-blooded straddle the line between the divine and profane. And that can be a very unsafe line to walk. Where the light bearers fall to normality from their unsafe mix of light and taint, the starbound instead have to live this duality, relying on order and ideals to keep their inner demons at bay, reflected in the distinctive pattern of their wings which show their struggle between light and shade. The order imposed by the lines of the constellation, a web of light holding back the swirling shade lurking out between the stars, just as the real shade lurks out in the sky beyond the web of the gods' order.

I like the gold and black, reminds me of collectors. Maybe look around the AH for dragons that match the criteria and message the person breeding them. Let them know you made a subspecies and their dragons qualify, and I'd they'd like to get them registered they can?
