Yes, hi! I've not interacted with the FR community any yet and I'm... unsure if I'll hang around long-term.

So, if you have a dragon you want to gush about, for whatever reason(!), please post it here. I'm hoping to be infected with your dragon enthusiasm while I am in the Coliseum debating life choices, like joining a dragon breeding game and not being that excited over dragons.

To be honest, I wasn't really into the idea of FR at first. But the more I played and scryed and had projects to work on, the more I enjoyed the game and dragons. I don't interact much with the community other than sharing my dragons I love, which, I couldn't just pick one! My whole lair is full of dragons I've worked hard on for a long time (most of them) and just feel accomplished in having them and having people look through them and pick who they enjoy, or see if anyone gets the references to some of the more obscure fan-dragons.

Heck, I just spent an hour finding all of them theme songs!

I guess it just depends on if something really tickles your fancy, like if you wanted to make a dragon based off of something you really like. That's something I enjoy doing, especially characters that may be hard to create in dragon form.

Whatever the case, you're free to browse my lair and I hope you enjoy my dragons as much as I do, and that you'll feel inspired to stay a while!

Thank you, that's insightful! I suppose it'll be easier since the longer I spend the more likely I'll have to be invested in something. Just not sure what that is yet.
I guess it just depends on if something really tickles your fancy, like if you wanted to make a dragon based off of something you really like. That's something I enjoy doing, especially characters that may be hard to create in dragon form.
Drops, loot, rewards are what I like which is why I've faceplanted myself into the Training Fields without too much complaints. Mainly, I play video games with more stats and whatnot but I like grinding/farming for loot in most games so at the minute I'm content. But I'm pretty sure not being into dragons won't help me considering the amount of the game is centered around breeding and training dragons. Synesthesia is probably my favourite of your dragons. She's super colourful and I haven't seen a dragon like that before. Fandragons though I love Vivi! I literally failed (again) at the 1000 jumps in the mini game just a few hours ago. FF9 is my favourite game ever.
Thank you, that's insightful!

To be fair, I rarely breed my dragons unless I really like the color combos and feel I'll actually keep the children. And thank you, I love Synesthesia's colors as well! I'm just a sucker for rainbow or bright colors so long as they're matching nicely together and not... eye searing. *hi5* YES, FFIX is SO GOOD. Vivi is precious baby.

Sounds like you'd be into games like WoW or FFXIV. I play the former, and enjoy leveling, though I'm not much into farming unless I REALLY want something (I say as I ran 25 dungeons to get currency for a mount I really wanted).

I think, so long as you can find a dragon species you really like, this game shouldn't be too boring. I actually don't really care too much for dragons (I like some, but they're not my thing), but I find a lot of the dragon species here are diverse enough that I can enjoy them visually. The coliseum is indeed a good alternative to breeding. Sometimes, people even pay others to train their dragons for them. The coliseum also has some exclusive drops only found there!

I sincerely hope you enjoy your time here, and if not, I hope you find something that entices you! Good luck, friend!

I get what you mean with not being too into it- it took me a while to really enjoy it, but the good thing about FR is you can put as much or as little effort into it as you'd like. Say you just want to go online to look at festival things? You can do that! Do you want to make fandragons, spoil like 2 of them, proceed to spoil 5 more, and have a bunch of unfinished projects? That was a callout for myself because I am currently doing that! I really like doing lore and fandragons, although I keep not having time to write my lore down and I really should revamp it because my lair is half fandragons at this point... That being said, here's some of my favorites! First up we've got Taako (you know, from TV?) who I am INCREDIBLY fond of spoiling with art and usermade accents and fancy apparel. Then we've got Lup, who is the other most spoiled dragon in my clan Legion, who really works well with some of the apparel that came out last year (can you tell I love TAZ Balance yet? :p) And now for a Hat in Time fandragon, the Badge Seller, who I'm still trying to figure out in terms of aesthetic but I love what I've got so far A lot of Flights' dominance events give out badges, which I have on this dragon, so if you're looking for rewards for grinding and don't mind them being small, take a look at what I've got! (admittedly like 90% of them are currently pixel cats since I'm a bit busy to grind a lot but) And now for my two favorite non-fandragons! Xalucin was given to me by a friend and I just really like the story I've made up for her (and not written down any of) Agalmatolite is a commemoration dragon, of sorts. Her hatchday has nothing to do with the event she commemorates, but her name and coloring is a reference to a type of stone that was important to the event. Some people like commemorating events with dragons, and I do sometimes as well! I'm not a huge dragon person either, honestly. Of all mythical creatures, they seem the most blasé to me. My brother talked me into joining this game, and at first I was just like, "Cool. Awesome. Lizards. Woo. :|" I didn't even care enough to design my own progen. I just randomized the colors and shrugged. It was a mixture between the forums and the lore that finally got me going. I'm a writer, though, so turning my lair into an eldritch soap opera and then screaming "LOOK AT THIS" at people on Dragon Share and the FR side of Tumblr was a pretty good fit. Just general chit-chat is fun, too, and looking at folks' art. I guess it's less about dragons than community to me, though I have learned to love the creativity people put into their dragons. As for gushing about my own? LOOK AT THIS JERK. I got him from my brother and he's just such a disgusting and beautiful mess. His color scheme is crazy and his eyes match him oh-so well. He's got leaf capsule so he looks like he pukes acid and that's... that's just kind of neat to me. He's a beautiful, fluffy jerk and I love him. He's so gross. He's so gross.

I hope I've used this ping thing right? OTL Guess I'll find out! D: --------------- @ThePipeFox Vivi was one of the few characters from the onset I loved, his design is so... endearing even though he's just a black mist with glowing yellow eyes? Like that sounds to be eerie or creepy but nope, he's ma boi. I think out of the cast of FF9, it's got some of the best characters in the whole series, even secondary ones (Beatrix? Love her. Mog and Choco? Adorable!). Actually now that I think about the FF series, I'd be in heaven if this was a Chocobo Breeding/Raising game! Do you think it's possible to make a chocobo-esque dragon?
Sounds like you'd be into games like WoW or FFXIV. I play the former, and enjoy leveling, though I'm not much into farming unless I REALLY want something (I say as I ran 25 dungeons to get currency for a mount I really wanted).
I have FFXIV: Realm Reborn but disliked how it cut off game mechanic till you got to certain areas/story quests and I just couldn't handle that. In fact I played back when Housing wasn't in it. :'D But raiding wasn't really my thing on MMOs, I was always a crafter/economy type player that would play bank for other people. Also, had no one really to play it with so raids were... unique and frustrating for the most part as I was usually Healer. =) Thank you, I'll have to have a look at some of the dragon types. I've only seen a handful of them I think? I do like faes though, they are cute but the female ones seem a bit awkward in trying to dress up. I'd done a scry of her and I think I managed to make a dragon have no apparel match her at all. I suppose it's because I've seen quite a few aesthetic lairs and I'm thinking, how do I get that but with mine? ------------------- @Asphoxia I do like the idea of just have a few really, really spoiled pampered dragons that I can give all my time and effort to in terms of treasure. It's probably the freedom to do so much and how I'm not entirely sure what to choose is why I'm floundering a bit. a lot of the community is very helpful here, and it keeps me looking to do more with my dragons, my little checklist (though I'm bad at saving) also keeps me going and I do enjoy making posts here every now and again, if you have dragons off my list you would like to see bred when I have the room again, let me know, I also like doing scries of turning pets into dragons so you can PM me images of your pets (if you have any) and I'll turn it into a dragon

For me, almost all my super spoiled dragons are characters I love! Mostly Adventure Zone fandragons, but yeah. Is there anything that you'd want to make a tribute to?

I got Legion's bio from a free bio thing, but someday I hope to create my own bios.

It was meant to be funny and also kinda poking a bit of fun at myself, I'm glad you found it as funny as I did!

Thank you!! Coatls are very pretty, the male ones have a really cool pose too in my opinion, and I really love the accent I have on Xalucin. It makes her look like sorta... a light elemental whose disguise is stripping away is how I think of it.

Yes, you can get cats on dragons, and because nothing in the lore disproves it, I've decided that the Badge Seller from A Hat in Time (a game I love so I'm making a tribute to it through the Badge Seller dragon) is now a cat person, so they get cat apparel and RNG cat badges in their bio.

I hope you're able to find something that you enjoy!
