This is going to be mostly a mystery game, with some action/adventure and horror thrown into the mixwell more than some on both accounts but mystery sounds cooler so! October, ‘tis then season.
Just some basic guidelines here:
At the end of each snippet, there will be options. Please choose an existing option to go forward. After I am satisfied with the amount of results (may vary), or when it’s been too long, I’ll post the next snippet and this will repeat. Also, please be nice! I’d appreciate it if you did not ping me, too.
Also: good chance your character will die eventually. If this happens, you’ll restart with a new character, and some elements will have obviously changed with the death of a former apprentice. Just a heads up.

The magician paces back and forth on the old wood, the house creaking beneath her equally old talons. All of the hatchlings lined up, including you, remain silent as the grave. The windows rattle with the breeze outside. One is open, and the wind is knocking stacks of scrolls off of cluttered candlelit desks. She pays no mind.
The house you’re in is sprawling, with doors and corridors leading to floors and basements you’ve never even dreamed of. You and your cohort have been restricted to the first floor, where you were taught preliminary magic before she and her mate will choose and approve of one of you to move on. Of course you’re forbidden from the other floors. One hatchling once explored there. They never came back.
Finally, the enchantress stops pacing. “I have made my decision,” she declares, her voice firm and regal. “On which of you will become my apprentice.” And, shockingly, she points at you.
