Hello everyone! We have a couple of new genes that are nearing a finish. We wanted to get some community feedback on what gets released next. [i]Bar[/i] and [i]Daub[/i] were primary/secondary treasure genes that were previewed several months ago, and as a result have built up some anticipation; however, we have released several treasure genes in a row. Here is a preview of what Bar will look like:

At the same time, we've also had several requests for a new gem gene since there has not been a new one since released. We have an unannounced gem-purchased primary that we could make our next release. It is very shiny.
II want to make it clear that Bar and Daub and the gem primary and secondary will be making their way out to FR, in the end. I'm definitely hoping for Bar first. We've been waiting for it for quite a while, so it makes sense to release it first, especially after all these surprise genes. I wouldn't be particularly upset if we got the new gem gene first, though. I just appreciate all the new genes the artists have been making for us!

Bar/daub first, just because it's already been previewed and people have been waiting on it for awhile.
Also, I voted in the survey, but it didn't seem to be taken into consideration (right now it shows 50/50 towards "I don't care" and "gem"... weird)

clocks It got your vote just fine. The results are not real time and are calculated every 15-30 minutes I think. We currently have 94 votes, but at this time, only the first two are factored into the calculation. It'll be more reflective when survey monkey updates its cached info with the live stuff.

I noticed that too. Since it's showing fractions of a percent, they definitely should not be showing 50.0% and 0.0%

I have been waiting for bar and daub, so I would like those to be released before the shiny new gem genes.

My vote is for Bar. Partly because it was announced some time ago, and thus people are expecting it, partly because it's treasure-based and the sooner it releases the sooner the sniping craze will end and the rest of us will be able to get hands on it, and partly because it's the only one we can actually see a preview of. I mean... I may not even like this unannounced gem gene, so I can't be excited about it or 'WANT IT NOW'.
